He knows a lot about science but I took this because I needed the credit. Everything you need to know is in the textbook but I can't exactly memorize 40 pages. The tests are in person on paper, very hard. Would not recommend it, most people fail the test. No homework, grade is solely based on your four test grades. He drops the lowest one.

He only gives 3-5 graded assignments throughout the term and is an extremely heavy grader. His exams consists of open ended essay questions. His lectures are very interesting but he does not use power points or anything like that. Expect to have to take good notes and study a lot in order to pass! DO NOT miss class or you will be completely lost.

This class is read textbook, go to class for a lecture, and test. He does not do PowerPoints and does not write on the board, so you should pay attention to his lectures. He is a nice guy. There is no homework, just 3 or 4 tests throughout the semester. If you read the textbook and pay attention in class, you'll do fine on the tests. Study!

I had hoped this class would be more fun and involved. You are only graded on 4 test which are all written. No ext.c. You have to memorize everything and it's a lot. Don't take him if you don't want to be lectured the whole time. Also I emailed him several times asking questions and he never rescinded once. He also never gave us his office hours.

The thing about his class is that he is lecture heavy; there is no writing on the board or powerpoints, so you must pay attention. But that said, come to class and be there for his reviews, because he what he reviews is directly going to be on the test. His test are the only thing to worry about; he is not easy so just study.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR IF YOU DON'T WORK WELL WITH JUST A LECTURE CLASS!! ALL HE DOES IS TALK IN A LOW MOTTO TONE VOICE. GIVES NO EXTRA CREDIT. BARELY PUTS ANYTHING ON THE BOARD. VERY VERY BORING. AND IT IS A SCIENCE COURSE.

Chillest professors out there. A great professor overall, it's the material he teaches that's hard. He goes over everything very well. It gets hard to know everything since he likes to combine 3 chapters in one test. if you're good at studying tons of information, this class will be very easy. If not, don't take it. Tests are kinda hard.

If you are religious and get easily offended, don't take this class. He very often likes to mention that "organized religion" and evolution aren't compatible. Other than that, his tests are based off of the self-quizzes at the end of chapters, and lecture notes. He takes attendance, but I don't think it's mandatory. Study for the tests.

Great professor. All questions on the test were straight from lectures. He even goes over the material the day before the test. Easy A. Just make sure to study.

Although he only lectures, he tries to make his lectures somewhat fun and gives cool facts that are not needed for the test. He only grades based off of tests, but one of the tests was take home, then there's a final, and 2 other tests. As long as you take good notes from the lectures you can get an easy A. I highly recommend him!

Prof. LaSalle is so far my favorite professor at SJU. His lectures are interesting and he's willing to repeat anything if you need clarification. His tests are easy once you take good notes and follow his lectures! He's amazing, I highly recommend him!

Professor Lasalle is a great professor I would take him again if I could! He barely ever writes anything on the board so be prepared to take notes. He is honestly a great professor overall he cares about his students and explains everything really well. His lectures are interesting and he ends class a little early most of the time.

Amazing professor! He really tried to explain things clearly and if you didn't understand, he would use funny analogies to make it even simpler. The test aren't hard at all. He always tells us what topics to study. Not much homework also. I would definitely take him again.

He's a really good professor. His class is lecture style and he speaks either slow or fast. But I honestly learned a lot from him and he doesn't hesitate to repeat himself and explain terms further if you don't understand. Take down notes very carefully and look at at the textbook a few times and you will definitely pass.

EASY A! I had Professor LaSalle once a week for what was supposed to be a 3 hour lecture but he always ended class early. His lectures can be boring, but he's a nice guy and willing to help his students. Only two exams: mid-term and final, that were both take home! One term project assigned on the first day and not due until the end of the term :)
