Comment:
This was my third class with Dr. Bulsys. He's awesome. His tests are tough but if you ask him for help he will help you. His lectures can be boring because his voice is so monotone but if you can look through that he has some really interesting things to say. He is much more interesting in small classes so try to have him for 102 or senior Sem.

Comment:
Do not take him. He is unfair in his grading, and it is his way or the high way. He never clarifies what he wants from you and makes his tests and papers unnecessarily hard. He also will not answer email if you have a question and just gives a boring lecture. If you can avoid I would strongly recommend it. I am a great student and received a B.

Really great guy who's there to help students. One of my favorite professors at Geneseo. Extremely clear in lectures and is quick to clear up any miscommunications or misunderstandings. Test are on the challenging side but bearable. Not the easiest A I've ever earned but definitely worth the effort.

Professor Bulsys is an amazing professor when it comes to public speaking. I had him for COMN 102 and it was easily one of the best classes. He gives great feedback and the class is based mostly on speeches which wasn't too difficult. I also had him for COMN 213 and it was horrible. Take him for 102 only, hes funny and really helpful! Avoid 213!!

Dr. Bulsys is a pretty nice man, but he's unclear about what he expects from you. He puts people on the spot, and he's kind of boring.

He's a good teacher and knows the material, but he expects everyone to either have a photographic memory or a ridiculous handwriting speed, because he flies through text-heavy PowerPoint slides and doesn't put them online. At least 90% of it is the same as the book.

He is a great guy, but sometimes a tough person on grades. I have never studied harder in my life, but have never been more rewarded when I received that decent grade. It is a informationally intensive class and very difficult. He was great in explaining the main points in a topic, but ensures you do the reading by not giving too much info in p.p.

He happens to like me and my speeches quite a bit, and I skim the chapters well enough to do fine on the quizes. You don't really have to be there but it doesn't hurt to go. He's a nice and relaxing presence in the room, and he really cares about his students' success. Go to him for internship help!

He is a cute old man. His test and quizzes are straight forward. If you take notes and read the text book its an easy A. It is not a big deal to miss some classes as long as you read the related chapters in the book. He is pretty slow going, but he is nice and easy to talk to.

Care about your topics and listen to feedback to improve. Not hard to do well if you make some effort. He finds positive things to say about everyone. Class seems pointless to show up to every day but evaluation sheets are your participation grade. An easy A-- take it.

There is a line he still hasn't crossed of being able to convey his vast intelligence in a way that really connects with students. Class is a white and black powerpoint with paragraphs of information that is hard to connect with. Tests are too difficult and he is too unwilling to cooperate with students - blames bad grades on us and won't negotiate

Nice guy but tends to be a bit monotone and can sometimes trail off subject. Goes slow sometimes and stresses his point a bit too much. Tests are hard. Hard grader on essay questions and papers. Go to class, be respectful, and participate he will be fair, helpful, and you can pull through.

Loved this class. It's important to both pay attention in class and read the book, but as long as you do them it's an easy A. Especially interesting for those interested in politics, since 75% of his examples are political. Really nice guy, too. Grading for this class is pretty objective, so if you know your stuff you'll do fine.

Very nice guy. I take notes from the book and that works really well for me, but he goes over a lot of it in class too. His tests aren't difficult, but obviously you have to study. Basically, if you do the readings and go to class, you'll get a good grade. The book actually isn't boring, either. Very interesting subject manner. Take this course!

He is a very nice guy. I liked him a lot. This class was boring and his teaching style is unorganized. However, he is very fair in grading(almost always throws out questions) and is always moving the test date to accommodate other tests, etc. If you go to class at least half of the time, study for tests, and write the papers, you should do well.
