I enjoyed her class! The class is challenging, and exams were not easy. But it is manageable as long as you go to class, do the work and ask questions. I love talking with her in office hours as she is knowledgeable and cares about your success. A trick to make this class much easier is to find a good group for case studies.

If you listen in class and do the provided examples, the tests are pretty okay. The quantitative problems were pretty difficult, but you get a equation sheet for exam. Ask questions in class if you are lost, because the textbook does not help that much.

She is a great prof. She really cares about her students learning. Her lectures are very organized too. At the beginning she makes it seems like a really hard class, but it was very average in terms of difficulty. As long as you do the hw and practice problems, it was not hard at all. You do a lot of group work so make sure you pick a good group!!

Challenging class but not as challenging as she and other students make it out to be. Pick a good group.

Koste is by far one of the best supply chain profs Ive ever had. Her class is TOUGH. There are 6 case studies and 2 exams, which require work to do well on. Keep up with the corse work, ask questions (you get EC when you do), and do the homework even though its not required. Her class is worth taking and not as scary as she makes it out to be.

she starts every class saying "this will be the hardest class you might take at GV and if you don't think you can handle it, consider dropping" like she isnt the only prof to teach the class. Test are out of this world hard, Group projects are graded insanely hard. She beats around the bush when questions are asked. Some extra credit is given

Bruh. This was the hardest class I have yet to take. Not much weekly work, but everyone fails the first midterm. She offers extra credit which helps a lot. Do the homework if you actually want to understand what is going on in the class. The case studies are very challenging so make sure you get a good group. Koste has VERY high expectations.

She seems nice in class but isn't too helpful in office hours. I think this class is too in depth for non management students, which was most of the class. She would go over 1 type of problem 1 time really quick, then there would be a difficult problem on the test. Tests were really difficult and weighted very heavy. I'd avoid taking her if you can

Despite the horror stories I heard going into this class, I was relieved to discover it was not as bad as its made out to be. As long as you consistently go to class and take good notes, the material is manageable. While she may not be the most personable, Koste does a good job covering the material.

If you are SCM major, this is your only option for MGT 367. I suggest taking it right after 366 because you will use the same concepts. Taught at the level for the CPIM exam, which is $600+ now so I think the curriculum needs to be changed. This class is VERY hard, the hardest class in my major (about to graduate). Lecture heavy moves quickly.

I have never been so happy to get a C in my life. DO NOT take this class if you are not extremely good at math/statistics!!! Heavy in math. Terrible lectures and you leave everyday not knowing what to study. No hw required but you need to do it to know whats going on. She does not like to help at all and gives condicending tones if asked questions.

Such an easy class. Grade is 80% tests which she gives you a study guide of exactly what is on it.. There is a course pack provided to take notes in so you only need the book for the case at the end of the semester.

Koste is an expert in the field and that much is apparent. She, however, is not an effective professor. She teaches at you, rather than communicating and sharing the information she has with you. If Grand Valley finally offers a different professor for this class, choose someone else. She is arguably the least effective professor I've had.

Koste was a solid prof. The only reason you need the textbook is for problems so if you can share with someone I would highly recommend it. She gives you what you need to know on the study guides and if you study your course pack you'll do fine. Really study it, though. Don't just skim.

Koste seems very very knowledgeable in this field. Tests make up 80% of your grade, so one bad test grade kills you. Pop quizzes are given almost biweekly. There's a case study at the end. The course pack was nice for notes. No powerpoints are posted online. Don't skip this class, otherwise you'll end up lost.

Horrible professor. Seems like a good person, but will not help if asked. Had questions with a case study. Basically looked at me and said she won't help me. Tests are tough. Math is easy, but multiple choice will cover stuff not said in class. Take another professor if possible.

Gives a course pack with lecture notes and everything you need. Exams are 80 percent of your grade so I recommend doing lots of practice problems and only studying from course pack. Multiple choice on exams is tough too. Helpful in lecture but not one on one. Random quizzes and a case study at end. I recommend a different professor if possible.
