The worst online teacher I have had in my academic career. He offers no interaction for the students and you are left in a sea of information with no life support system in sight.

This class is self paced for the most part. You have deadlines, but they are so far away that if you don't pay attention they can sneak up on you. You have three papers to write that are very simple. There is very little guidance, but he doesn't grade hard. You only need your book for the two test. They are open book. Love the topic of this class.

This is an online class & you MUST manage your time, very little input from the professor. There are 2 open book tests that you can access immediately. One object ID & a site report, a lot of reading, follow the lecture notes you will be fine on the tests. I would have rather taken this in person for I was very interested in the subject matter.

Anyone who thinks this professor's classes are difficult should drop out of college. There is very little work and time required. If you cannot write 3 short papers and print out a test and look up the answers then I would suggest you think about possible jobs without a degree.

took this online and it is an easy easy easy A. If you cannot write a paper then don't take this class. Only 3 papers and a midterm and final. The midterm and final you print off and then submit later. You have to be an idot not to get an A in this class.

Online class-not for anyone who needs to be led by the hand. Time management is crucial. 2 tests, object ID and research paper. Test questions&object images available from the start;work at your own pace. Lots of reading, tests require thinking, not just copy/paste. Very little professor input-unless you ask.Loved this class;learned a lot!

This was the worst on-line class I have ever taken. The professor gave no guidance on the paper due and posted items at the last minute. Do not take this class.

I took his online class and it wasn't bad at all. There are 4 quizzes, 1 paper (5-7 pages) and a final. If you know the answers to the quizzes the final is pretty much a repeat of those. Need the book but more than half of the answers are on his online outline. Takes long to answer emails but he is a really nice professor. Helps if you need it.

Took the online class. There are three essays and a test, for which you may use any source. In addition to the books (from which you will need only one chapter), you must rely on his website which is very poorly made. He knows his stuff, but it doesn't quite come through online. His physical class might be better.

Lots of reading. open book tests, not timed, but answers very hard to find. there is too much information and not enough clarity or direction in what to retain. 2 tests, 1 research paper and object identifying assignment. the work was too time consuming and harder than it should have been, he could have made it easier. had higher hopes for this cla

Although I took one of his courses many years back. We formed a friendship. Appreciated the trips to Anza-Borrego for plant identification. Even had me assist other students with this. Still have the books we used and peruse them to this day. Thanks Steve Bob

He talks a lot.Usually his stories have more to do with his life then they do actual test material. There are two artist papers due at the midterm, and a family history notebook due at the final, and that's the only work given in the class.Attendance is definitely not mandatory. He does tend to curse and blaspheme frequently which I didn't care for.

Awesome teacher. Really smart, always answers questions, has funny stories to tell, is funny in general. Tests are easy, take really good notes, they're allowed during testing. If you have an interest in AIS, I say go for it, you won't regret it. Will pick on you if former military, is former Army. (The fun picking, not bad)

I took him for some American Indian Studies courses. He's very knowledgeable and will answer any questions. Tends to get off topic a lot though. Easy A if you do the work. Tells a lot of stories based on personal experience and has a good sense of humor. If you need to up your GPA with an easy class take him.
