I had him for Phys 180 also. He was really tough during that class i got C+ in that class then again I had him for phys 225, I end up getting a B+.Apparantely I found 225 easier than 180. But the way he teaches is really tough. You have to be really active in his class. His test questions are mainly from book questions, just over them

When some say "you really learn the material" after taking his class they are right. But HE does NOT teach it to you. When taking his class you have to teach the subject to yourself. If you have no background knowledge of the subject going into the class, he is the absolute worst. His tests are too difficult for you to teach yourself.

Terrible professor. I can handle a tough grading policy, that's fine. But public personal insults? That's just downright unprofessional. We didn't pay for THIS. Do things his way or he will fail you. (Even if you got the right answers!) Just unbelievable that NYIT has kept him around for so long.

Firm believer in the Carnegie credit (2hrs of studying/hour of class time). You MUST read the book and MUST do the homework to have a chance. Expect to do 6-10hrs of studying per week for a good grade. That said, if you do the work you will actually learn physics. You get out exactly what you put in in his class.

AVOID TAKING!! Funny guy in class but writes problems way too small, and expects answers immediately. Half of the time he works out the problem in his head so you must try and follow along based off of tiny drawings and half missing work. Tough grader; fail one test and you basically fail the semester. Tests are 6 questions so not much room to move

doesn't teach much in class but will do every homework problem, or any other problem with you and explain it. Tests are very hard and the equation sheet he gives you on the test is missing most of the main ones that you'll need. if you can't put in at least 6 hours a week don't take him

Terrible professor. Insults his students. Tough grader. Has a terrible grading system. Puts a lot of pressure on his students. Nitpicks about everything. He constantly talks about his personal life. He doesn't respect cultural differences. His exams are completely different from the textbook. I've had better professors. Avoid him at all times!

He will tell you himself he is the hardest teacher you have ever have or will have. Says you must study 8 hours per week to pass the course. Reprimands you and tries to embarrass you in front of the class if you get something wrong. Talks way too fast for comprehension. 20% of his student pass the class per semester

THE WORST. He doesn't teach. He scribbles on the board in tiny, sloppy writing; talks at light speed, and then belittles students when they can't keep up. If he gives you that hilarious speech about how he's the best physics professor at the the school, DON'T BUY IT- he thinks he is b/c he's arrogant. Switch to another prof before add/drop ends!!!

The book can be very convoluted and Prof. Sunshine triply so. He spends a lot of class time telling students how difficult the course is, how so many people fail, that none of us study enough, that none of us are doing the work, that we aren't thinking etc. etc. He is constantly putting students down; a very negative learning environment. Avoid.

Here is the low down from a student thats been to several other schools before NYIT. He has the toughest grading policy ever!No partial credit,no extra credit. He zips through the material in class also.Maybe back in the day he was a good teacher, but now its time to retire!Take someone else, seriously! You've been warned!

Tells you to go read a 30 page chapter and to do the questions at the end of it. He goes over 3 of the questions and then wraps up the topic. Come the exam, the questions are completely different. Don't take this class if you don't want unnecessary suffering.

All rumors are true. Tough grader and you will have to work 2 hours at home for 1 hour in class but it's worth it. You really learn what you're supposed to. Unfortunately, he is less comprehensible in Phys II than in Phys III

Toughest grader I've ever seen. No partial grades. Rarely bonuses. You get C instead of B. Obvsly he wants a lot of work: 8hours at home for 4hours in class. Sometimes rude, sometimes funny. Friendly with excellent students. Anyway like he correctly says, you must take this guy if you want to learn and become a good engineer. Now same in Physics 3

He expects a lot of work. He believes in the 2 for 1 rule. 2 hours of studying for every 1 credit, so for a 4 credit class, he expects 8 hours of studying. If you work hard, you can succeed, but it's not easy. He makes odd comments, and if you are a girl in his engineering classes, good luck!
