Dr. Gross is a great professor. she is incredibly caring of her students and wants to male sure everyone understands the material. she is very sweet and always helpful. The class is graded mostly on exams but there are weekly online lab assignments that in total, count for about as much as a whole exam. Would recommend!

Really easy class overall if you just go to lecture and do the labs. She has a study guide for each exam that covers content in the book but you don't need to read the book to do well it's mostly common sense. I got A's on all the exams and never fully did the readings. She also curves every exam. Pretty boring class but it's an easy A

Only used experiments to explain concepts, but never actually explains the concepts as a whole. Expects you to read the book while not teaching from the book at all. I love psychology, as it is my major, and I was very disappointed in this class.

Phenomenal professor! If you go to class you will pass. Attendance isn't mandatory but don't skip too much because some of the exam questions are based on lectures. DO THE ONLINE LABS. You should complete all 15 ON TIME because they are the easiest possible points and costed me my grade at the end of the semester. Take Prof Gross!!!!

Professor Gross cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She gives four tests throughout the semester and all of them were curved. The class is graded based on the four tests and weekly online lab grade. Overall I found this class interesting and would take it again.

Jenny is a neat woman and she definitely made class interesting. It was nice to have a professor who understood that this class is most likely not in any of our majors and so of being really harsh she did her best to make sure we could choose to learn the content in an interesting way without destroying our gpa.

Professor Gross is very passionate about language. While she is an energetic lecturer, her powerpoints seem to be haphazardly put together and not very organized. Tests are difficult, but she is very clear on what you need to know for the test. Do the labs and you get a free 100% test grade. Overall, I liked the professor, but not the class.

One of the easiest classes I've taken. Lots of reading but exams are easy and she curves and gives a ton of extra credit! She is very nice but seems to dumb down the material and excessively explain simple concepts which was a bit disappointing. Lectures often felt like wasted time and I learned the most of the material from the book.

Professor Gross has so much enthusiasm for teaching! She's really easy to pay attention to in lecture. You are expected to read a lot of the textbook on your own time as well as to do weekly labs. So it's a lot of work but if you do the work you will do good on the exams. Overall a relatively easy class just time consuming.

She's a really great teacher, and very understanding. She's a great professor at grand valley and would recommend her to anyone. Attendance is important if you want to pass and do all the readings. They are all on the exam.

Professor Gross was a very good teacher. Although I received a C+, the class average was a B+ (probably because I didn't read the book and didn't always show up). She made the class interesting and there were a few opportunities for extra credit, which helped me a lot. Read the book and go to class and you'll have a good grade.

She is a great professor. She really wants you to succeed and do well. Tests were a bit difficult for me. I realized too late that you should do the reading and review guide as you talk about it in class each week, not save it for the week before. After that, I took my test average from a B- to an A. Very friendly, I would recommend her!

Prof. Gross is a good teacher. Her lectures are easy to follow. Her tests were difficult for me. They're separated into the following sections: lecture, book, and online labs. The questions from the book are from her study guides, but they are very time consuming. She posts her lectures on BB, but she talks of test information during lecture.

I love professor Gross! she is always so happy and excited to be teaching. She does assign reading from the test book for each test (there are 4 tests including the final) and her final is not cumulative! TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!!!!

Though there are few tests, they can be very challenging and are mostly pulled from the book and outside articles. So make sure you keep up on your reading... Which is about 20 pages a week from various sources. Some of the articles can be tough to get through but she goes over the main points in class.

Professor Gross was a very nice and patient professor, however the information that was given was a lot to handle for each test. Get ready to have 7 lectures, a few labs, and usually 6 chapters on each test. She curves each test which is very nice, but it is tough if you are not very interested.

Better than most of the other psychology professors at GV. She offers help in class and out. You have to read for every exam, but she helps by highlighting the important points in her power points. She is always clear about what is going to be on the test. She sweet funny and wants you to do well. Keeps things interesting

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! She is always so enthusiastic and happy. She curves all of her exams and gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. She relates everything back to things that are relevant to college students and can be quite funny! I never kept up with reading but instead crammed the night before (it sucked) but could still get A's!

Prof. Gross is awesome- the class material was tough to understand, but if you went to lecture it all made sense. The exams are half made up from textbook and articles you're expected to read outside of class, which can be time consuming. Otherwise, grade is based off 3 exams (she curves) and "labs" which were the easiest assignments in my life.
