Comment:
Professor Padilla is a very kind woman, although sometimes she can be a little much. The course itself is based completely on how you do on the exams (the lab is a separate course now). Although the material is extremely difficult, she gives a study guide that is almost identical to the exam questions. Everything you need is on the lectures!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! It's not easy like the other reviews say. Her tests ARE NOT I repeat ARE NOT based off of review sheet. For example the final is about 30 questions but she puts 130 on the review sheet. Most questions are extremely specific with long answers. This professor is very conceited and will ruin your GPA for her 100 level class.

I had her in 2010, I felt compelled to write as I look at grad profs. She is possibly the most pretentious person on campus. Sure, she's smiley if you act like her minion. Her high-strung narcissism made a terrible classroom environment. Really not what I was expecting or of a SUNY prof.

She is such a nice lady but this class was an absolute nightmare. I thought it would be easy like BIO 201 (I got an A in that). It was at another level and compounded with the labs it was super hard. Way too much attention paid into detail. I got a C+. My first C ever!

I worked my butt of to get an A in this class. It is A LOT of work. All I can say is in order to do well in the course, you have to study ahead of time and commit at least 2-3 hours everyday for this bio lab. That being said, she is really a sweetheart but the class itself is EXTREMELY HARD. If you don't want to work, be prepared for a BAD grade.

She is really very helpful and sweet but that doesn't mean the course is easy. The course for me was quite tough maybe because I was also taking P-chem. Don't take this class unless you think you have time to study for it. Also, at times the class got VERY VERY boring and most of the times the work was difficult.

She is a decent professor but he course load is way to hard. Don't take this class unless you are taking 15 credits or less. It's a lot of work and the lab work gets gruesome at times. I suggest taking this course only if you are serious in the subject and not to fill a pre req for biology major. Stay away from the course if you can't handle work.

Super cool professor, bunches of fun. There once was a whelk of a snail. Who's shell was incredibly frail. When asked why this was, he said 'just because.' I didn't get enough Calcium Carbonate fail.

Great class, extremely easy DEC. Easy clicker quizzes every class, easy highschool-level lectures, Exam questions are literally word for word from the study guides and no textbook required. Attendece is recommended. However, the professor is kind of cranky and hates cell phones. Do the study guides for the exams and youll pull an easy A.

NOT AN EASY DEC! Don't be fooled. Hard tests that are all short answer/short essay. Extremely long study guides with no answer key. A lot of useless information. Teachers hate when students leave early or take out cellphones. Don't take this class it's too much work for a 100 level.

She is extremely boring to listen to. Her tests are straight from the lectures and review sheet. study that and you get 100. Clickers. She is boring, the other professor in the class is cool.

She, like the other professor teaching, REALLY hates cell phone use. Anyways, textbook could help you but you definitely CAN make it through without it, exams are all written but studying with the 80+ on the practice exams should be enough to get you prepared.Very easy class, fulfills a dec e, so take it.

She knows her stuff and can explain it really well. She's a nice person. Her exams are all short answer and true/false. She gives you the questions ahead of time. You should go to class since they use clickers, but they don't announce when. Also, her TAs are very helpful and friendly.

She is very passionate about what she is teaching. The class is really easy. I got a C+ and a B on the midterms and still got an A because of extra credit opportunities. Take notes in class because there are in-class assignments! I didn't use my textbook at all. Easy DEC E class and pretty interesting.

Great science class for the science DEC. take notes, go to class (try and go to every because the day you decide to skip is prob. the day she decides to do an in-class assignment)...also: TAKE notes cause the in class is BASED on what you learn in the lecture so if you snooze thru it you'll be hard pressed for an answer. study the study ?'s = easyA

Extremely Easy class. There are in-class assignments so you have to go to class. A lot of extra credit. The tests are so easy because she pretty much tells you the questions before hand.

Very interesting class, good choice for a DEC. She highlights on the slides what you need to know for exams, also gives out study sheets. If you go to class, copy down the highlighted notes, make study sheets and study for the exams, you will do well. Offers lots of extra credit, too. Lectures sometimes dull.

Do not buy the book---no need. Everything is on notes. Lots of lecture notes, puts you to sleep. You dont need to go to class except for the quizzes. If you know a few key concepts, you can BS your way through any exam question. I studied 2 hours before the exams and never went to class yet i got over 90% on every exam.

Really easy... everything you need to know is highlited in the notes that she provides you with on blackboard. She gives a study sheet for every test, which goes well with the highlited notes. Very enthusiastic about the class, I enjoy her lectures. Take her class, it's an easy A.
