I honestly don't get the über negative ratings. Sure, he can be a bit dull and his assignments are difficult -- but the essays are mostly graded by the TAs, who are pretty horrible. He seems like a friendly, witty guy who keeps his lectures interesting with subtle wit. He can be a bit foggy sometimes but he is a good man.

Yes, lectures are boring. Yes, they are also essential. Book is the key to success. It IS possible to do well in this class, plenty of extra credit opportunities. Just keep up with the reading.

I really don't understand why he has such a high rating. His lectures are absolutely painful to sit through. He assigns reading that covers very difficult subjects, only to devote a few seconds to in class. I learned more reading the book than from him. His exams are confusing;interpreting the questions are difficult. Worst PSY prof I've had.

Okay, he is just the worst. I don't understand anything he says, and he can't spell, and I have no idea what the prompt for any of his questions mean so I'm so confused and his test questions come out of no where and he makes me cry because I hate him so much and I am crying right now because he is literally ruining my life. He looks like a seahors

McAdam is awesome. He was also my academic adviser. He can be pretty vague and mystic at times, however, he is a great professor with a ton of knowledge about EVERYTHING going on at the university, especially within the psych department. Wish I had taken PSY 101 with him too!

Great professor! Very funny guy! His tests were challenging but if you completed the 2nd answer sheet it certainly made up for it. Very fair class. Do the psych studies for extra credit - they are fun and it makes an A very attainable!

Great guy and a fun class. Tests can be somewhat stressful, but you get two tries so get a fews extra points. Write down notes on stuff he spends a long time on in the lecture, there will probably be a tricky question on it in the next test.

This class was challenging, but if you do the work, you'll come out with a good grade and a love of psychology. I'm actually considering it as a minor, or even a double major, after taking this class. Such a great instructor. Two thumbs up!

Great in PSY 101,wouldn't take 101 with anyone else. The tests require extra time and effort. HOWEVER-PSY113 is totally different.(relatively new course)but it is one of the worst classes I have ever taken and during this course he is the worst:everything unclear and difficult.nearly impos.to do well

He's got a split-curriculum -what he teaches during lectures, and what's in the book; he tests you on Both. Context clues were the biggest help on his annoying tests, the less I studied the better I tended to do on them.

I don't know what prof. you all had, but i can't stand this man, or the class. He tries to be funny, but it's usually just wierd, and 113 is so boring, i would fall asleep even if i wasnt at all tired. I hated the class with a passion.
