Professor Graff was my favorite this semester. Not only did I learn a lot about music, but every class was also fun and interesting. I loved how he taught, I could really tell how passionate he was in music. The best classes are when the professor is truly passionate about what he teaches.

Professor Graff is the most genuine, kindhearted, and passionate instructor I have ever had the pleasure of studying under, at any level of academics. I sincerely enjoyed his class. His passion for music is infectious and he truly wants students to come away with a better understanding of it. Several field trips. Final project is a group musical.

This man is one of a kind. Not only is he a master of the piano and musical history, but he is truly a wonderful human being. Someone who goes to all lengths to understand you, build a wonderful teacher-student relationship with you, and to help you succeed in his class and in life as an artist of whatever field. Lectures and trips were inspiring.

Professor Graff is one of the most caring people I've ever met. The level to which he truly worries about his students and wants them to succeed was frankly inspirational. He will go out of his way to support students and make sure that their concerns are addressed and promptly resolved. If you have the chance, take his class!

Professor Graff made MHC Seminar absolutely amazing. Such a warm, fun personality. He is extremely talented as both a musician and a teacher. He is also very spontaneous-one day a student said ugh I dont wanna learn today, so Professor Graff took us all to the MET on a whim! Taking this class was the perfect way to start out my college career!

Professor Graff was an amazing teacher. I learned to appreciate art more though the discussions we held in class. He is so involved with his students and really wants you to learn. He's also really laid back and grades assignments with A's as long as he sees that you put the effort in! I recommend taking him if you have the chance!

Professor Graff is perhaps the most interesting teacher I've ever had. Not only is he practically a piano wizard, but he is also incredibly knowledgeable and personable. The free shows (opera, dance, etc.) he took us to were eye-opening and entertaining and the work he required was fun to do and not particularly difficult. Take him if you can!

He's funny and his passion for music really shows. The final project was a musical and it was super fun! Only two papers; option to rewrite it if you got a B and I'm pretty sure everyone got an A on the last paper just for handing it in. Steven Graff is a gift to humanity and I honestly miss this class so much.

If you're trying to choose a professor for MHC 100, take Professor Graff! He's a little eccentric and sometimes unclear; he doesn't give you super specific guidelines for his 2 papers, but it didn't matter! You can write pretty much whatever you want so long as it relates to the class. He fed my love for music and art. Such a fun class.

TAKE THIS MAN HE IS INCREDIBLE. Seriously, he is a classically trained pianist and he is ridiculously talented. He is a terrific grader and super fun in class. He takes you to the Met Opera and off-Broadway & encourages trips to the Met Museum and MoMA. He's really funny and terrific. One downside is a slightly stressful musical final project.
