I took her for art history and she seemed really sweet. The lectures were helpful but not mandatory. The tests and homework were open book. I learned a lot of interesting things with her help but it wasn't an extremely hard class.

Professor Wood is very passionate of what she is teaching and it shows. While Art History may not be the most interesting course, but she made sure to fully prepare you for the exams (which made up most of the grades), and was more than willing to answer questions for clarification. Exams were given on PowerPoint.

Not an art major. No biggie though I still with relatively no studying got A's on all exams. She shows you how the tests are (not multiple choice but easy), gives you which pictures to study, looking paper (go to DIA ) and an easy presentation. Liked to use my book for extra notes for tests, could skip class if you wanted but I wouldnt.

Susan really really knows her Greek Art History. She lectures at a very fast pace so be ready to take notes, hint look for the keysheets they will help you a lot. She covers a lot of items in class. The tests are not hard if you studied. You have 2 papers due, one is real easy the other is a research paper.

This professor is well educated in the subject matter she teaches. She's nice, gives minimal homework. If you don't like having to memorize 50+ images and their information then don't make her class. Her exams are hard in the sense that it is tedious to study for and requires memorizing more than actual learning

Professor Wood is GREAT! Really really nice and always will help you after class no matter when! The class wasn't a part of my major (health sciences) so it was hard for me and I had to work for the grade I received but if you like art then this should not be hard for you! She was a wonderful professor.

Comment:
Professor Wood does all of her lectures from powerpoint and only gives two exams in this class. The information required to study for these two exams is obnoxious, would have rather had another exam than have to study so much at once. Very hard to grasp information with all she gives and she is not very clear during lectures.

This class was needed for me to obtain my degree. She is a boring professor and her powerpoints at time don't make sense at all. Her tests are way harder than the classroom instruction. She does offer tons of credit and from my personal experience there is no way I could have passed the class without the extra credit opportunities.

absolute worst professor ever! she is an old, brainless moron. her powerpoints have NOTHING to do with her tests so you are bound to fail. i ended up just not going to class at all.. no point. now i have to pay to retake my art credit. save yourselves.

It's a decent class and a decent professor. She's really nice and loves her topic, but she's just kind of boring. Her tests are difficult but she offers a ton of extra credit. She's good for a gen ed class, but I probably wouldn't take another class of hers.

Professor Wood is such a sweet lady! This was the first class I had with her, and now I've taken 3 with her. She uses powerpoints and talks fast, so take notes quickly! She checks her email all the time, and she is always willing to give a ton of advice. Take a class with her! She tells funny (sometimes really dirty) stories, and makes class fun.

Professor Wood absolutely loves what she's talking about and knows everything there is to know. Her lectures are powerpoint based. The grade is based on 3 exams and a paper. The exams are tough - she gives you 60 key pieces to remember but only tests you on 8, but she grades them liberally. The paper is pretty easy too.

Wood is SUPER passionate about art history! You can hear it in her voice as she teaches. Very nice prof. Lectures aren't too bad as long as you got enough sleep the night before because the room is so dark and warm. Her love of art history makes you want to pay attention.

oh my, another power pointer gone over the deep end. She is smart but really is all over the place. I hate power point and in this case it got in the way big time. she is also, like many teachers in this dept. a snob.

She was a realy nice and easy professor. If you took notes and understand the key things she is saying you will pass with no problem. I slept trough her whole class and ended up with a 3.3 at the end of the semester. She gives a lot of extra credit.
