Weekly h/w: discussion board, 2 replies, journal entry, reading quiz, review quiz. 1 research paper, 1 case study, 4 other papers, 1-2 pages. 2 exams & 1 final. I missed over 10 weeks and he let me make up all the work I missed, including 1 exam. I didnt do the research or case study papers, and still got an A! Very understanding and caring.

I made a 102 in the class over the summer (online long summer). He is the sweetest person and will always help you when you need it. You have 2 papers (3-5 pages), 3 exams, DBs, journal entries and that it. The class can be done online and you will learn so much.

The coursework is laid out for you. Completing the weekly homework typically took me about 35 minutes each week. There were 2 big papers and 4, 1-2 page papers that were definitely time consuming but not too bad. He can take a little bit to get back to emails and takes a long time to grade papers. Not strict on late work and is an easier grader.

He does not provide feedback on grades given, and you go for weeks without knowing what grade you received on an assignment. He gets offended if you ask clarification questions on assignments.

Took this prof during the fall break mini. He was arrogant & wanted us to debate him to correct the grades. He wasn't using the new bk or pwrpts & hadn't adjusted his lectures to accommodate the new bk. He told us he didn't care what we put in the evaluation because he had signed his contract for the next 18 months. AVOID HIM OR BRING TYLENOL!!

I took Intro to Management Information Systems over a mini-term. I learned a little bit in the class. (I already knew a lot about computer systems, I clepped out of Intro to Computer Science.) I enjoyed the class. Dr. Sims is a very humble man and a good professor.

I enjoyed this class more than I thought I would. I took a Fall Break Mini class, so it was a grind, but he offered open book/open note so that was helpful. 3 tests and one paper and one powerpoint presentation in one week. It wasn't easy and it wasn't hard; he listens to his students and can be somewhat flexible in his grading.

Very Nice, I took the Spring Break mini term and it was not that bad at all. It says that you need a pre req for this course but you really don't need it!

Very smart man but sometimes it's hard to understand him because of his intelligence. Class is somewhat tough but if you attend class and turn in all assignments then it's not bad.
