Such a kind soul. No textbook required for this course. Gives you so many practice problems online - many with solutions! Has many past practice exams to help prepare you for exam. Also, wears funny math t-shirts to class almost every day. All-in-all, very wholesome professor, really cares about his students. Highly recommend!

Vector Calc is a hard topic but I think he makes it easier. Classes are made up of lectures & going over hw, with the occasional pop quiz based off the previous hw. Quizzes are EC and only count if you make an A. Do the optional hw. If you can do the hw problems you can do the exam, which are also usually curved a few points.

Such a great teacher, he's super nice and caring about his students. His grading is clear, and pretty lenient; he wants all of us to pass as long as we put in the work. His lecture could be better, but he will make himself accessible for office hours if you ever need help. 10/10

His slides are masterfully constructed. I have learned a lot about the different animation abilities of powerpoint. Also a lot of groovy number theory. Easy A.

One of the most dedicated educators I've ever had the pleasure of learning from. Gives SO MANY practice problems, and this class is an easy A--IF you do the optional homework! Rushes through explaining the concepts, so the homework is where you really learn the material. Four words if you want to do well: DO THE OPTIONAL HOMEWORK!

Dr. Filaseta is a "nice man", but his tests are a lot harder than the material covered in class. You should expect to put in a lot of time studying if you want to pass this class. He also does not post good notes, so if you don't come to class you're screwed.

Dr. Filaseta is one of the nicest people I've ever met. His class wasn't the easiest but as long as you do the homework (it isn't graded) you will do fine. He is always willing to work with you to help you understand concepts. He definitely makes you work for the A but it's possible if you do your part

This class was very difficult for me and required me to put in a lot of time and effort; however, Dr. Filaseta is a wonderful professor. Really cares for students, replies to emails quickly, and is always available to help. Only grades are tests and pop quizzes. Tests resemble homework problems assigned so fairly straightforward.

I found vector exceptionally difficult, but taking it with Filaseta made it more than bearable. He's incredibly sweet and has been through a lot in his life, he really wants to help his students and tries to be as fair as possible. Working homework and quiz problems are the key to doing well in his class. Oh, and go to lecture. I got an A

Filaseta is fantastic. Easily one of the best teachers I have ever had. Definitely take advantage of his office hours--he is extremely helpful and really interested in getting to know his students. His tests are challenging, but you will be fine if you pay attention in class, complete the homework and ask for help if you need it.

He's a nice guy and extremely helpful as long as you attend class and show that you're trying. The material itself is pretty difficult but he gives a ton of partial credit so it's not hard to do well in the class. Don't be afraid to go to his office hours if you are confused.

He's very easy to understand early in the semester, but towards the middle I was confused a lot. His quizzes cover the material well though, and his exams are very doable. He's always open to helping you understand it out of class.

His honors class is pretty difficult, especially for non math majors. It's difficult but not impossible, and you will learn a lot if you simply show up for class and study for the exams. Studying and doing the homework's must if you expect an A. Filaseta is very helpful and a very nice guy. I'd recommend him for 241 if and when he teaches it.
