I'm an ED Major. Take him. The class is a little difficult but he truly tries to help as much as possible. I only got better as the semester went on. He really explains the material and if you are confused, go and see him! He will explain it to you. I would take another class with him if there were any available.

If you have the ability to take a class from Dr. Barclay you need to jump on it. He is the BEST professor at Cortland. Smart guy, interesting, great topics, open forum, and fair grades are only a few things I can say about him and his classes.

He is really helpful and nice but the class itself is kind of challenging. There is a lot of material that you need to know but there are no cumulative tests so that always helps. Labs take a while but you still get out fairly early. Never ever cancels class. ever. I'm a childhood ed major and I had a hard time with this class.

Extremely nice, funny, and helpful. One of the best profs I've had. Tests are straight out of the notes and follow the text, but he is a very picky grader so you have to study a LOT to do really well. I've learned an incredible amt in this class

not as easy as one would expect. the tests cover a lot of stuff but if you take the time to make a studyguide and study for a few days in advance, youll be fine. hes helpful if you want it but takes confidence as cockiness so dont act like youre going to kill the test

OUTSTANDING PROFESSURE!! This is what all teachers should aspire to be. Lectures are interesting and engaging. Tests are tough but fair; you always know what you need to know. Term paper is long but fun and he tells you EXACTLY how he wants the paper written. TAKE ANY CLASS WITH THIS PROF!!

K first off his accent is amaaazing and is what makes him so hot. But, I liked this class. His tests were a little on the harder side, mainly because there is so much material but they aren't too bad. The only thing that's sucky is the webpage you have to create. It's tedious. Labs aren't bad, you get out early. I'd take him again though.

J.barclay is an awesome teacher for this subject. The material was difficult but she helps you as much as you need it. This class boosted my Earth Science grade up by a letter! If you do you're work and ask for help when you need it you'll definitely get a good grade

this class is the best class i have ever taken in college it is soooo interesting. one class you dont mind learning in b/c the stuff is so cool. He is a great teacher for this class to the icing on the cake. so funny and interesting def take this class even if you dont need it!

I have waited to take this class forever. WHY I DON'T KNOW. If you go to class you can get a good grade, but if you miss a class I hope you know someone who takes GREAT notes, because his powerpoints online don't help at all.

I have had both of them and would recommend them to anyone. Both are easy and they don't work you too hard. Just go to class and you'll do fine. SCI 180 no need to buy the text... :)
