Straight up, Dr. Kalvin is a fantastic educator. One of my favorites if not my favorite professor at Concordia. Provides an ample amount of examples and prepares you for his exams extremely well. Take him, you will learn well and won't regret it.

He knows Calculus pretty well, but he has a pretty monotone way of teaching it. His notes and everything is fine, and he does explain really well. However, he will make you sleep with his boring voice, especially at 8h45 am. His first midterm was really easy and the second one easy other than one integral question. Overall, easygoing but boring.

A unique class where you learn many approximation theory techniques. His lectures are quite confusing at times, but once you reread the notes at home it makes much more sense. Can come across as condescending to students asking questions. Assignment and project had very unclear grading criteria. Final was also extremely long - not many finished it.

Out of all the ODE/Advanced Cal teachers to take, take him. He's funny and understanding. His lectures are fast paced, but structured due to the time constraints. Midterms are usually fair and he gives tips and tricks for simplifying problems. Has a bit of accent but you get used to it. I can't think of another prof who would give you a decent time

He is a decent prof. He is great for explaining the very basic of topics not in depth knowledge which, for this course is essential. I learned the entire syllabus from dr leonard on youtube. Without in depth knowledge this course will be very difficult. Overall he is a fair grader with his midterms being fairly easy. He is funny too.

ABSOLUTE STUD. Had him for engr 213 and 233 and got A+ and A. His midterms are really straightforward if you do and understand his homeworks and final is fair. Would take for all my classes if i could. OH and do yourself a favor, DO NOT ask him dumb questions in front of the class... he WILL roast you:)

Going to the lectures helped my understanding of basic concepts for each chapter, but Prof Kalvin has a hard time explaining in depth stuff. I had to either read the book or watch online videos. However, the tests are very straight forward. You have no excuse to do bad on the first midterm as the class average my section was around the high 70s.

Easy-going character and knowlegable. He will get you well-prepared for the exams. He provides plenty of numerical examples for each class. If you do your homeworks and attend to all his classes, an A range grade is expected.

I didnt like him at all even i was regretting to be in his class. He goes like wind and did almost everything using maple which is not my style because i am not going to use maple for the final. And the final was just something impossible to finish in 3 hours. In all my university life i did never see such a long exam. too bad.

A great teacher for Math208! His lectures consist 90% of doing exercises from previous exams, so by the time you get to midterms/finals you'll already be used to the style of questions and you'll get good grades. Just be careful, his classes are super fast and it's a bullet train of information, so if you doze off for a little bit you'll miss out.

Dr. Kalvin is very knowledgeable, perhaps too much so for undergrad math... He often overcomplicated the material and taught material beyond the course scope (which made it hard to weed out what NOT to study). I also feel that many students felt uncomfortable asking questions in class, because he would occasionally brush the questions off.

The quizzes are usually announced and the homework is not manditory. He has an accent, but after a week or so once you get accustomed to it, you will find that he explains how to do the work well and gives you tips and shortcuts that are useful. As long as you practice, the readings arent necessary.

He is very hard to communicate with, does not reply to emails and only assigns 3 hours of office hours per week. His final was also ridiculous, impossible to complete within a 3 hour span. if you can avoid taking this class, deff avoid it. it is not hard, but the type of questions he asks in assignments and exams take forever to complete.

Victor is a great proff! Hes extremely smart and funny and explains things pretty well. His notes are a bit messy but are decent. My only suggestion is to do more problems than he does in class because the final make his tests look like a joke. Be prepared! Would take again

Solid math prof, he was the department supervisor before so he knows his stuff and the exam topics ans tricks well. The class itself i found easy, a lot of repetition from highschool math. He as a prof explains and goes slow and although he has a fun accent, you understand him and he's realistic and funny at times. Go to class, listen and practice
