Comment:
CS300 has the absolute most boring material I've ever read. That being said, if you participate in class, you'll find Huggins to be a great guy who wants to have a conversation. The class is really just reading and two papers. With this class being online, it was great to make some tea and talk with Professor to start my morning.

even though he insists he isn't the best professor in the department, he is. his ethics class is largely discussion based and the homework is just preparing for in class discussions. the assigned reading is so very stale and dry, but I don't care because huggins himself makes it fun. He also is pretty accommodating to students.

This man is a down right pleasure. What a man. Your grade is based on what he thinks you deserved and not what you actually earned. If you put in 110% effort all the time and only score a C, you might get away with a C+ or B- because you earned it. His Facebook is pretty lit too 10/10 would have again

Comment:
Huggins is a good person, to begin with, but his grading can be somewhat harsh if you do not do exactly what he imagines when assigning projects. Showing up to lecture is often not boring, as he has many helpful demonstrations, but not showing up to lectures will not kill your grade. Would recommend.

He did an amazing job presenting the subject matter. He was clear in his expectations and going to his lectures made you walk away feeling as though they had value.

He is my favorite professor at Kettering. If you have a chance to take him do it. I've had him for multiple classes and he knows his information. He is very passionate about the theory side of it so there is a lot of theoretical work.

Best teacher here at Kettering. I've had him for numerous CS classes. Very helpful, always available for office hours. His Computing and Ethics class was thought provoking and interesting. He puts a lot of passion and work into his teacher. Take him if you can:)

Great professor, one of the best at this school. Made what could have been a boring class interesting and interactive. Lays out reasonable expectations of you and class early on. Your grade is directly related on whether or not you put any real effort in.

Awful class that I slept through each day. You need to read 10 chapters of boring books twice a week. He gives you no guidelines on his projects. His grading is just as random as the rest of his classes. He is still fun to listen to in this class, but the class itself sucks.

He's a nice enough person, and when the material he's teaching is bearable he's good at teaching it. The computing professional is his favorite class and I cannot for the life of me see why, it's a complete waste of a class and it shouldn't be. The history of computing is interesting, and he ruined it for me.

Is a pretty decent professor. Definitely makes the class more interesting than it should be. Make sure you do ALL the homework, or you most likely will fail. You could have 100% on everything and not turn in just 1 program.. and not pass, according to policy, which he sticks to.

Awesome Prof. Extremely understanding. I bit off more than I could chew this term and he totally worked with me auditing the class and arranging to take it remote access while at work in exchange for meeting with him every week and not missing any lectures. Grades so that the curve is decent for everyone. Go to class!

One of the best profs here. He tries to make his classes as interesting as possible (even w/ a boring subject), and keeps people informed about their progress. Very willing to help outside of class. Good at teaching this history/ethics course as well as CS in general. Easy to get off on a geek tangent, though. :)
