Comment:
Professor Gilmour is passionate about what he teaches. He makes sure that everyone understands what he is talking about. However, your grades come from 4 exams and 1 paper, so there is not much room to get a "bad" grade, but the exams and paper were beyond easy. If you study a little, you'll do fine.

By far my favorite teacher here on campus. Dr. Gilmour not only makes every lesson interesting and engaging rather than the typical mundane lecture, but he is also a very kind and understanding person that really listens to the feedback of his students, and makes us feel heard. He even makes a 9 am class very exciting. Best teacher ever!

Dr. Gilmour is a super sweet professor. I took him for Intellectual Quest and he's so enthusiastic about his subject that it makes you want to listen. There are readings that he wants you to do, but most people don't bother since he just goes over it in class. Tests are straightforward, and essays are chill. Would definitely take him again!

Dr. Gilmour is an amazing professor. He loves what he teaches and does not make his lectures boring. He is always willing to help! For class, make sure to take good notes during lecture and study the test review! There are 3 mandatory tests, 1 optional test, 1 required essay, and a cumulative final, so keep old tests reviews to help study for it.

He was a phenomenal professor. If you read the book and take notes during class you will ace the exams. On the exams, he gives you extra credit opportunities. Only other thing besides exam was a short paper, which he graded fairly easy. He is very kind and explains everything well. Very easy, interesting and fun class. I learned so much.

I was hesitant to take a Philosophy class because I went into thinking it would be difficult and hard to grasp. However, Gilmour makes the class so fascinating with his charismatic personality and pure passion for the subject. We read good books and learned life lessons in this class, I would definitely take one of his classes again.

Gilmour is one of the coolest professors I've ever had. The class is text heavy but the books are easy to read. He never gives quizzes, only reading tests. There two "major" projects but they're so interesting that they're easy and are very open for interpretation. His lectures are so interesting, his excitement for the material makes you excited.

I took Gilmour for Introduction to Philosophy and this is my first philosophy class. He is great. He has a passion for his job and finds ways to help students understand the material. We have writing quizes which consist of easy one page responses to show you read material, a few multipe choice tests and a two page essay. Easy and interesting class

He's a really cool guy. He'll give you a good laugh from time to time. His reviews were useful. For his essays, try to explain whatever he wants deeply. You'll get a good grade that way. His quizzes are pretty easy. He had an optional quiz for extra credit before our final exam. I'll gladly take his class again

He's really cool. Doesn't even have tests really, they're "quizzes". Pretty much give you the questions and answers on his reviews. Have like 3 quizes and a paper and those are all your grades. Get Dr. G.
