I was so scared of taking a Phil class. But I have to say, this professor made everything so easy to learn, he was so inspirational & clear. He is open notes, open phone, laptop, open to anything when taking exams & quizzes! He lets you share your own opinion. He writes rec. letters too! I ended up taking all his classes & switched to a Phil major

Attendance not mandatory, but it helps. The only grades are 4 papers and 2 tests. Papers are easy (3 pages) as long as you read the assigned material. Tests are open note/book. All lectures are posted online. Come to class with an open mind and you will learn! Lectures can be boring sometimes, but Prof. Griesedieck really knows his stuff. Easy A.

I loved this professor. This class is also super easy. Participation is not required but you do get points for showing up to class. There is only one exam and he lets you use your notes. I would take his class again.

His class was very different from my major (chem) but I found it interesting. He's a funny guy, and definitely knew his stuff. His class was focused on reading lecture notes then looking at examples, on which he assigned (easy) homework. Respects students, seems to like what he does. Attendance was not really mandatory.

He is super into what he is teaching, but the class isn't hard at all as long as you show up and somewhat pay attention. Attendance is counted, as well as pop quizzes, but if you are there you'll do just fine. Tests aren't hard at all, open note open book on everything.

Took this as a 4-week summer class online and it was the easiest A I've ever had. As long as you understand persuasive writing and can put a few cohesive sentences together, you're golden. Several short (easy) papers, online discussion and one open book, open note online short- essay exam. Do show up for the class meetings. You're graded on it.

Mandatory attendance, but it is only every other week. Tons of papers, about one a week. Only one exam in the semester. Four essay questions, open book, open note.

The lectures are long, but they're interesting. The way he speaks really shows how interested in the topic he is. He's really helpful and willing to answer questions and discuss anything with you. There are several papers, some pop quizzes after some lectures, and open-book, open-note essay tests. Easy A. The best part is that you'll learn a lot.

Honestly, there is no way for you to get a 100% on any assignment that requires the teacher to grade it. Even if it's your own opinion that they ask for! Every assignment I have done that has required them to grade it has always been a 1 point deduction for god knows why. Good luck. Lots of work.

Wonderful professor! He is very well spoken and knowledgable. Took Phil 1120 with him and enjoyed it immensely. Make sure to take notes during lecture and come to class and the coursework won't be a problem. All tests are essay format, but open note. He is a very good professor who kept me interested all semester.

He is very passionate about asian philosophy, and if you actually pay attention (which can be hard given the nature of his voice lol), he will teach you. Take notes; definitely read and annotate your notes using the book before tests. Quizzes and tests are very, very, very easy. I walked away with 98%.
