I asked him why I got a low mark on an assignment and he blew me off completely. If you don't know what's going on and ask for clarification, he treats you like you're an idiot and wasting his time. He's incredibly rude and self-centered. Spare yourself this man's classes.

I don't understand how anyone could give Professor Tremblay a bad review - he's passionate, knowledgable, and helpful. You'll have to read a lot for his classes, but he teaches English - that's to be expected. He goes over and above to support his students, and the environment he creates is quite democratic. I hope to take more classes with him.

I do not understand how any person who took a class with Tremblay could honestly give him a decent review. I have never felt so targetted and despised by a professor before. I have a 4.0 grade point average and never had problems with profs before, but here we are. He was unwilling to meet outside of class, and quite rude about it too.

Tremblay is a great professor & really makes you work for your grade, but it's not that difficult. As long as you read the poems and make notes or reread them before class you'll be find doing the reading quizzes. You should also be ready to participate or do really well on quizzes to counteract your lack of talking. He's also very approachable.

I once had a prof come to class high and spend the whole hour roasting another student who came in late. I would rather take another class with her then sit through another one of Tremblays dull-ass lectures!

Dude makes you read about 3 poems for 25 different authors. Not a big deal right? Except there's no textbook and no handouts. He expects you to print off over a hundred pages of stupid poetry without complaining!

NB Lit is offered as a way to fill out your required hours in Canadian/American lit for a majors. I took it because American wasnt available and regret it. He is unwilling to discuss things with you over email, is unwilling to help you outside of class, and is an extremely hard marker when it comes to exams and major projects. 2/10 dont recommend

If you attend all his lectures and take good notes you will do well. He expects you to read the material before each lecture and he will do a reading quiz at the beginning of every class. No cell phones or laptops during his class or else he will call you out for it and make you put it away.

Dr. Tremblay is by far one of my favorite professors i've had, out of my four years at STU. He expects you to work very hard and attend class...do that and you'll get a good grade.

Dr. Tremblay's an incredible prof- but you get out what you put in. He gives weekly reading quizzes and expects you to have done your work. He is a fantastic educator! His lectures are relevant and erudite, and class participation is mandatory, so there're wonderful in class discussions. I wish he taught more courses-I would take fifteen more!

RUDE...pretends to care, but it seems like he is more interested in you repeating what he believes. No room for mistakes or differing opinions. Very unapproachable and cold toward students. Don't get me wrong I got a good mark in the class and liked the material but he was not the reason I did well and he didn't seem to really care either way.

I took his class and really enjoyed it at first. I'm used to working very hard and getting good grades. When I approachedd him he didn't care wasn't helpful and didn't care. I was in every class did all readings and spent alot of time on work, but his exam was stupid, huge worth for abscure material. Horrible Prof, very rude to students. Skip it!!

Meeting with him is pointless because you go into the office and he disagrees with everything you say. He must always be right. His classes are hard to follow because he explains the material 3 or 4 different ways. He'll give a 30 page reading then pick some obscure fact out of it to have a quiz on. Quite rude to students as well.

I have the ability to "constrcut a coherant sentence," I am "" interested in the value of learning," and yes, I plan on becoming a highschool teacher someday. I have always done well in all of my classes...however in Tony's class, it was a challenge. He was unorganized, he gave little to no instruction and his grades were inconsistant and biased ba

i attended every class and did all the assigned reading's and work. I was not his favorite and as a result I got a C, the lowest of any of my university marks. he is arrogant, and rude, and generally a jerk. i have scheduled the rest of my courses to avoid him at all costs.

He is probably the best professor at St. Thomas to those who show an interest. He is not hard if you do your work and conduct yourself respectfully. If you're not doing well, it is probably because you shouldn't be.

Pop Culture...the man flips out over the most ridiculous stuff. If a watch beebs he goes nuts. The readings were insane, and I (and many others) couldn't understand them until he explained them. BUT before he explained them you had to write a quiz on it. Yeah, that makes sense. He expects everyone to participate in a class of 60. AVOID! at all cost

pompous teaching attitude. talks down to students unless you are his favorites. dosen't seem to have a problem with humiliating people in class. if you are brave enough to take a class of his you better be more of an expert on the subject than he does. he'll expect nothing less than that. if not, be prepared to be dissapointed by your final grade!

DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS FROM THIS MAN!!! He is without a doubt the worst professor at STU! He is the most unapproachable teacher I have ever heard of, and has a horrible habit of picking favorites (usually honour students) in his classes; hence the positive feedback on this page. Above that, he seems like a miserable person in general....
