Loved Dr. Rogers stories which usually included profanity. Had his class back in the fall of 1981 and he rocked it back then. He generally cursed 8-10 times a class, tests were easy, and all we had to do was listen to his lectures/stand up routine. Great to see he's still making them laugh.

gets off topic a lot. confusing when he is on topic. talks about aliens and stuff all the time. puts stuff on the test that he doesnt go over. but no homework other than an essay for every test that he sums up what to put on. all in all easy class work wise but learning wise there is not a whole lot there

I would concur with some that BRILLIANT!I despised History before dr Rogers and have now taken every course offered just because he teaches them. He is a plethora of valuable insight and gets oyu thinking outside the box. He disbelieves in textbooks because they only print half the truth of our history - dont be frightened - go for ROGERS- 4 stars!

A top notch professor from all angles: great speaker, knows his stuff, hilarious stand up comic, helpful, and will continue to awe students with his professorial might. No one comes close to this hero among men.

I can't believe I paid for this class. He gives a list of what we need to know that is hard to read he rambles on and on about anything but what we SHOULD be learning. He practises his stand up comedy routine for the enitre class which was not that funny. He is nearly impossible to understand and I didn't get anything out of this class.

Never used the book except to look at pictures. He gives you a list of terms, lectures, and goes straight down the list. He thinks he's hilarious, and sometimes he is, not always. Really, really easy class. He's incredibly smart, but his old guy craziness might distract people from that. Rattles most of the lecture material out of memory.

WOW. Just WOW. This guy teaches stuff that is really outdated. He also teaches stuff that he watched on the discovery channel as though he was an expert on it. He can't stop bragging about himself and he is literally half def. More than one time throughout class he completely ignored students just because he couldn't hear them.

Doc R is one of the most brilliant, yet wildly misunderstood professor at SC4. He really knows his stuff and lectures without notes. I would recommend him to those who aren't offended easily. Great professor!

He is a very, very intellegent man. I found his continual stand-up comedy boring and distracting, but a fairly easy class.

Dr. Rogers is probably the kookiest professor I've come across thus far. Class was soo easy, he doesnt really take attendance, and the class is more like the history of his life rather than the history of western civilization. I think i heard more about his "oh-so funny" stand up comedies than actual history lectures. EASY A!!

Dr. Rogers is probably one of my top 3 professors, he may have a unique personality but he knows his stuff, anyone who thinks otherwise just didnt pay attention, and took offense to his teaching when he was just teaching history and specifically said that he doesnt mean to offend anyone, and wouldnt press his views on anyone. GREAT professor

Dr. Rogers is one of the most knowledgeable professors at SC4. I had him for hist 101 and 102 and also in Psyc 101 and have enjoyed his informative, laid back teaching style. I transfered to UofM + have found that his courses have really been valuable as I contine my history major. Dr R. is very misunderstood;he simply has a "unique" sense of humor

Wow. What a crazy man. His class is ridiculously easy though. I went to class once a week for half the time and I passed with an A. He makes the quizzes easy and tells you exactly what he wants on the essays, and then congratulates you for writing what he told you to. This way, his class average is high and he looks like a great prof? I don't know, but it's a great blowoff class that is a pre. req. for a lot of degrees.

This is one of those guys who has all of the conspiracy theories going on. Everything is a conspiracy to this guy. But it seems like he actually likes conspiracies or something like that. This guy is a whack job. I'm very unsure about some of the stuff he has taught. I'm wondering who signed his PhD... Don't take his class.

I did not like his teachings. They were scattered, the constant laughing at his own jokes when no one else was laughing, and the biggest reason is he gave reasons to dispute major events in the Bible to prove it was not true. Morally I felt his teachings were not for me so I dropped the class immediatly after the third lecture. I do not recommend.

Rogers is umm... interesting to say the least. He is possibly one of the smartest people you will ever meet. His lectures are kind of scattered, but he grades on a curve so the class isn't too hard. Every student at SC4 should take at least one class with Doc R.

Rogers has two P.h. D's. What more need one say? The guys smart as hell. So unclear though. If you knew what he was really trying to say you would realize just how much this guy knows. He grades easy so it makes up for it but if you really truly want to learn history don't bother with Rogers.
