Comment:
Unclear to the point of ridiculousness. Rude. Condescending. Seems to actively despise students. Prone to changing rules/deadlines/grading criteria/ on a whim and without any notice whatsoever. At one point moved a deadline up three days and demanded a paper be submitted immediately. Avoid this professor at any cost.

I really liked Professor Rodman. She was willing to help develop your story. She facilitates discussion well and gives stimulating writing exercises. The class is not too easy, but not overwhelmingly difficult.

Told us we could write about any subject then graded lower if we didn't write along a theme she suggested. Unclear instructions on a somewhat big grade assignment, then counted off because didn't follow unclear instructions. Guess we were supposed to read her mind. Didn't learn much and above made the class memorable in a bad way.

Professor Rodman is freaking awesome. The whole class was set up as a true writing workshop and I feel my writing has definitely improved. She is very inviting with different writing styles and she grades fair. Totally recommend.

Professor Rodman is the best creative writing professor I have ever taken. I took both the intermediate and advanced class. Loved every minute. She is always available to talk to about assignments and is an easy grader as long as you follow assignments. Show up to class, do the work, and you will have an A!

Barbara is a great prof. Her requirements are clear, and she is a great editor. She is extremely helpful, willing to spend hours of office time if necessary to help students. I learned a lot and had fun. I highly recommend her!

she was pretty cool. She told me that if I didn't miss anymore classes and had a strong portfolio, I'd get MAYBE a B. I got an A in the course. But writing's my thing, so maybe its that. Her critiques really did help. Bad thing though: she wouldn't shut the heck up when it was time for us to write. I did most of my work outside the classroom

Dr. Rodman's really easy. I've taken beginner CW fiction and advanced CW fiction - both classes were a breeze.

Not a particularly good writer, but well enough technically. Okay at teaching things. Definitely not a phenomenal teacher, but you could do a lot worse.

She is a great workshop prof, but has a major attitude problem and can be kind of mean at times... If you want to become a better writer, she can help you do that, you just have to learn how to put up with her BS sometimes and not take it personally

How Dr. Rodman got her job is an absolute mystery to me and to several of the other grad students here. I have tried reading her fiction and it defines a new standard prosaic, petty nonsense. Avoid her at all costs.
