I would say don't take this class, but sometimes there is no other option. Avoid this class at all costs. This prof cancelled class 1/2 the time, but expected you to teach yourself for tests and quizzes. I get the sense that they are not comfortable in the front of the classroom, and it reflects in their teaching style. Take House.

She expects you to know the bulk of the material before she even teaches it to you. She required a minimum competency exam that you must learn the information yourself and receive a 90 or above to get anything above a D in the class. You have to teach a lot of the information to yourself if you aren't good at learning lecture style.

I had to retake this class with a different professor, and I am very glad I did. I was very frustrated in her class and had to go to her office hours many times. It did not really help. She does not answer questions well in class either. She avoids answering the actual question. Avoid classes with her unless absolutely necessary!

Professor McKenna is not the easiest professor but she prepares you for what you should expect when you are trying to teach elementary students math. You need to come prepared, but if you don't understand a topic she is more than willing to meet with you (she even suggests it to some students). She is really nice and her handouts are very creative!

McKenna is very tricky. I did very well on her first test, but after I let that get to my head, I failed the second. She is a tough grader and if you want to do well in her class you definitely need to put in a lot of work outside of her class.

She's a nice women, but her teaching style is average. I got 90s on all of the test by watching YouTube more than the textbook. The textbook is necessary but not overall helpful. It's very vague. She sometimes doesn't fully answer questions. The final is hard, but she does give extra credit. Don't expect to pass if you don't put in work.

Because of her I had to retake calc but I couldnt stand her I decided to do actual calc instead of applied and it was alot easier... DO NOT take her, she is the most unorganized and awful professor. Better off taking regular calc instead of applied I promise you.

Hands down the worst professor I have had and will have, guaranteed. 75 percent of my grade could be blamed on her. She is very unorganized and half of my class dropped within 2 weeks, which was the smart thing to do. She always makes mistakes when grading tests or when lecturing. Avoid at all costs!

Horrible teacher. Picks apart every possible thing. Makes so many mistakes and just doesn't seem to care. If she can't figure out a problem, she just skips it and never comes back to it. Rarely is able to answer the students questions.

This class was considerably easier for me than it was for the rest of my peers, as I have a greater inclination towards math than they did. I did a lot of work on my own and spent hours studying to get that A. Even though she makes mistakes sometimes, she is extremely affable and very helpful. If you put the work in, you'll do well in her class.

She makes the most careless mistakes and is very unorganized with notes. I recommend to avoid her at all costs. She is a nice lady but her teaching methods are very unhelpful. Expect to be teaching yourself a lot of things.

She never put her heart on her lecture and tests, and you can feel it through every class and test. she keeps making very simple mistakes everywhere, and very confusing lecture will make you have to learn by yourself.by the way, she does not have a degree of Phd.

So bad, constantly makes mistakes on simple arithmetic. She is just plain annoying, jokes are awful, and she's a bad teacher. Tests aren't too difficult though, but she really doesn't teach the material thats on them. You will have to learn a lot on your own. Avoid.

TERRIBLE PROFESSOR. doesnt understand the material AT ALL. spends the entire class doing one problem because she cant figure it out. the class is constantly correcting her errors and she gets frustrated when people ask her questions. went to office hours and was ignored. definitely avoid her as a professor if possible.

Class is a repeat of precalc class/calc class from high school. She knows her stuff but has a hard time conveying it. Definitely take if you don't mind learning 2-3 concepts on your own. Easy A-/B+

She is not helpful! rude! condescending and spends the entire class teaching one problem! you will not learn anything from her in class! i was actually looking up youtube videos to teach myself how to do the math she wanted us to learn!
