Hasn't posted on canvas but lectures are good and useful. I wish there were more grades than just 2 exams and a paper and or extra credit but there is not clear grading rubric. He is just passionate about the class and his lectures and has great knowledge on historical figures all throughout the world.

Interesting topic. Very knowledgable. But often absent minded. Learned a lot and enjoyed Chinese politics and govt, but no focus in class. Often rambled. Also, grading never clear. 2 exams and 1 paper is the grades. No clear guidance of the exams until you take the first one (which is scary). No guidance on the paper. But kind grader.

There's a lot to read. If you don't keep up with readings, class will be ... confusing and you'll have trouble following along. He's really passionate about his classes and is willing to work with you if you're having some trouble (school and personal). I typically prefer to take classes with less lecturing, but I would register for his class again

He was super helpful. Take the class if you're interested in the material and you'll do fine. If you have questions, ask and he'll tell you exactly what you need to know to succeed.

Professor Stephen Thomas is truly a professional in his field. He is interesting to listen to and has incredible passion for his subject. He is probably one of the best professors I have had in my college career.

Mr Thomas is a very nice person, with a fascinating background. I feel like he's someone I would enjoy talking to outside of the classroom. However, his class was simplistic, yet somehow confusing. He tends to ramble, and is unclear about due dates and assignments. Wouldn't recommend.

Contrary to other comments, I loved this class. Its a self disciplinary class, so there isn't any homework or mandatory class participation, but if you're interested in international relations, Mr. Thomas does a wonderful job. He tends to ramble a little, but he is a smart, kind man who has very interesting things to say to those who listen.

Worst class ever. Rambles about unimportant stuff for the whole class. And only three grade in the class, two joke exams and a huge paper. Good luck if you take this class you might as well bring a pillow to class.
