Awesome prof. He has a lot of hilarious/interesting stories, especially about his hands-on work. Assignments truly contributed to students' understanding of the material and weren't difficult at all. Anderson was awesome and really connected with his students and made himself very approachable and personable. Attending class was actually fun

Dr. Anderson makes class so much fun! He uses real world examples and humor to connect with his students. A typical week includes a lecture, an assignment, a chapter reading, and a quiz. Although he will be retiring soon, Dr. Anderson is a professor, friend, and mentor to always remember. If given the chance, take him!

Dr. Anderson is literally the best! I'm sad that the Anthropology department is loosing him this year, but the few classes with him have always been interesting and his stories are amazing. His lectures keep you wanting to know more and as long as you pay attention he'll work with you for your grade. 5/5 he's the best and so caring.

His class opened my mind SO MUCH. Some people might find his "out-there" overly-hyper teaching method eccentric BUT HE TRULY, TRULY WANTS THE SUBJECT MATTER TO REACH YOU. Like truly. He's a lovely person and any other person with this same text book would've bored me to tears. Truly a gifted teacher. Study for your quizzes and you'll be fine.

Hands down the best teacher that I have ever had. Inspired me to change my minor to anthropology. He is so inspirational and his class opened my mind up so much. I have gone to him with personal problems and he is so caring and works with you so much. Highly encourage anyone to take this class. If all teachers were like him college would be fun.

Dr. Anderson is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He has been to so many places and knows so much about anthropology. His passion for the subject is so clear and makes the class interesting. You will need to study for the quizzes or else you wont pass, and the video quizzes he gives are so easy. Also offers a lot of extra credit.

Made uninteresting material bearable. Super funny guy but knows how to teach information. Expect homework (videos w/ worksheets). If you don't study for the quizzes you won't do well so definitely take notes. This class was not hard and I took it as a first semester freshman. He cares about your grades and has real world experience.

For my class, we didnt have any exams, we had quizzes every couple of weeks but he is very clear on his expectations and has study guides. His lectures are informative, entertaining, inspiring, and well structured. He is extremely helpful and great to get along with.

Anderson's class is easy going, there are no test only quizzes work 45 points. There are movie reviews and chapter previews. These are the 3 assignments for each chapter and 1 project given. This class was very interesting I would recommend for an easy A.

Dr. Anderson is awesome. He's done extensive anthro fieldwork, and he really really knows his stuff. You could realistically pass the class if you only came on fridays(quiz day) and read the book, but you won't want to; his lectures are exceptionally engaging. The workload is minor: 12 hour movie w comprehension worksheet a week. Take the course!

Dr. Anderson is hilarious! He makes the class fly by with his lecture style. There are some quizzes that are difficult, but the homework assignments and film guides help offset the few difficult quizzes. Definitely take good notes in class. He doesn't try and trick students, everything that is on the study guide is on the quiz!

Dr. Anderson is without a doubt the best instructor, teacher, educator I have ever had. I majored in Anthropology, because I took a class with him and fell in love. With the field. Not him. Maybe. Seriously though, he cares about his students and he wants you to do well. Respect him, respect the class, do your work, and you will do just fine.
