Comment:
Prof Dan is caring towards his students, if you do the work that he gives along with the optional exercises you should do well, it is however very important to note that you must attend the classes and keep a good relationship with the prof, not for any grade boost but because he is caring about your well being and your grades.

This teacher is definitely not made to teach online - technologically impaired and even once went so far as to accuse us of hacking his computer because his whiteboard app froze. He is also extremely picky in the grading and his exams are long but overall, not a difficult class and the material is quite simple and gets interesting towards the end.

THE WORST TEACHER TO TAKE ONLINE. HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO USE A VIRTUAL WHITEBOARD, NOTES GET VERY VERY MESSY AND HE DOES NOT CARE. NICE TEACHER OVERALL AND HE KNOWS HIS STUFF VERY WELL BUT VERY UNORGANIZED ONLINE. ASSIGNMENTS ARE EASY, MID TERM IS EASY AS LONG AS YOU DID WELL ON THE ASSIGNMENT, FINAL WAS HARD AF BUT HE GAVE 4H TO COMPLETE THE EXAM

This man might be the single most useless, disrespectful, mentally draining, awful human being and professor I have ever come across in my entire schooling career. He grades more aggressively than possibly any other human on earth and provides no rubrics, comments, or notes on why and how you received said grades.

He is the worst professor I've ever had at Concordia. He is all over the place and is extremely disrespectful. I did not learn a single thing from this class and I don't think he should be a teacher.

AVOID... maybe he is a good economist, but he cant teach! his grading is horrible and he doesn't even let you speak. Forget about trying to make sense of your grades, of your notes, of his assignment, and forget about going to office hours and trying to have a conversation without being interrupted. AVOIDDDDDD

He is very rude and i would even dare to say feels like he is "sexist". He is superficial, disorganized, lazy... he said: "ask questions, but make sure you dont ask stupid questions"... i felt bullied and afraid to ask questions because of his rude answers, as if he knows it all and we are just stupid kids not knowing 2+2.. very disrespectful...

He is a passionate and caring professor, he truly wants you to do well in his class. He goes over the important concepts several times to make sure you really understand them. His lectures are a bit unorganized sometimes but he covers everything that is expected to come on the midterm and final. As long as you attend class you should be fine.

I have nothing against the person, but him as a TEACHER is horrible. Attendance is mandatory. His course structure is extremely unclear. No visual support (PP) in his lectures. Even if you are good in economics (I always had in the As), you will likely have a poor grade. Not available outside lectures. AVOID HIM AT ALL COST IF YOU CAN.

I enjoyed listening to him even though he is not a great speaker. He is just really enthusiastic like a child explaining his field trip to his parents without making any sense. I think he would be a cool granfather but in terms of teacher I dont think would take him again

If you like classes where you take notes that make no sense, buying a book for no reason, assignments with no explanations, harsh grading, this class is for you. He is entertaining but so is Trump, I wont be fooled twice.

He is a good seller but not an honest one. He will make you believe that you need this class but in the end teaches you nothing. Ended up paying the books and the class because he doesn't put assignments and mid terms until after the penalty date. Clever but dishonest.

I wish it were mandatory for university teachers to have a degree in education because he is the perfect example of a "teacher" who would benefit from it. He is superficial, disorganize, lazy. You are a fool if you think he teaches economics.

Don't let yourself be fooled by his average it is misleading. Some people really like him because he is entertaining but when you actually analyse his teaching and grading skills you can see that an economics Ph.D in 1980 is not worth much in 2018. Big waste of time and money.

He is one of those teachers who makes you believe he is nice but then fails you because you didn't write the name of the course right. He takes one hours to explain simple concepts and rushes throught the important stuff.

Professor is very enthusiastic about the course, and is also very welcoming if you have any questions. However, course is not very organized, exam/assignment instructions are not clear, and the grading is often very harsh.

Very inspiring and passionate teacher, loves to teach and welcomes participation. He is so passionate that some people might confuse it with being too harsh. But he means well, you can go see him during office hours and he is still willing to help you. I highly recommend him for anybody who wants to leave the class feeling good haha!

Econ 432 follows Econ 331. Class is useful but once again, you must follow what he tells you to do. Midterm is take home: easy Final: long and beware of your calculations Grade distribution: concentration in the Bs (only one A+ A and A-)

Dan is very passionate and very patient. Lectures would sometimes go overtime until he would get his point across. His assignments were very useful towards studying for the midterm and final and he was always there for help. He likes things done a specific way and his exams are really long. Overall he taught me so much and I'd definitely take him.
