I enjoyed this class very much! He obviously knows what he's talking about, and he has been most everywhere! He uses his own experiences to teach, which leads to a very welcoming environment.

He's very lecture heavy and at times can get boring, but he cares about his subject. He is also very knowledgeable and you'll probably learn a lot. Don't bother trying to contact him via Canvas, he won't answer. Also beware of the KIVA assignment, it's the only thing in the class that I got less than an A on. Grading is a bit strange for it.

Good teacher and very knowledgeable, but terrible at grading. Most of it was done the last two weeks of classes so you didn't know your grade until then. Also, he never graded the finals so that was frustrating.

Interesting, extremely good class! Learned tons of fascinating info about just about every country. Super nice teacher who is definitely willing to work with students. Passionate about geography and knows his stuff with up-to-date info. Take notes and read the textbook for an A. Great GE credit! Favorite professor and class of the semester!

I struggled with his teaching style. He knows his stuff, but he just lectures and he bounces around the subject. He cant focus on the same subject. If you cant learn by pure lecture don't take your classes from him.

Professor Young is a very helpful teacher. I have learned a ton in his class and he made it interesting and applicable by spending a lot of time helping us understand present-day issues such as North Korea, Israel-Palestinian conflict etc. Assignment load is pretty easy

This was the most awesome class ever. The assignments and lectures were clear, if you missed a class, it was easy to catch up. The assignments were helpful, he told you what you needed to know for the tests and he was funny and very understanding. I loved both my professor and my class!

Cless is one of the coolest guys ever known to man! He really knows what he teaches and will do whatever he can to help you understand! He is also really funny! Class was fun! Tests are kinda hard but not impossible. Listen close and you'll notice a lot of his subtle jokes!

I think that he is a wonderful teacher that cares much about his subject. He knows what he is talking about, and has a great love for the subject. This helps in his teaching as he truelly cares. He also cares about the students. He wants them to do well and learn about the world around us. He doesn't make it easy, but very much worth it.
