Honestly she was not bad. A lot of useless work that had nothing to do with the course every week. It is up to you to keep checking online for work because she never says anything about it. Teach yourself basically everything but its not hard. Stay on top of it all and it is fine. Clients were odd, but she knew. Overall not bad. I got an A.

Avoid at all costs. As others have said she is is a completely useless professor. You ask her a question and she tells you to look in the book, this is an online class and it's all group work, book is outdated I will probably not learn a thing from her class

This is definitely the worst class I have ever taken at Pace. There is absolutely no reason to go to class. You will not learn anything useful in the class. We did not get clients to create websites for until half way through the semester. Half the time during class the professor does not even say anything. It is a huge waste of time. Easy A though

This was an online class. At first it was A LOT of work and I hated this class but by the end of the class I actually thought it wasn't as bad. It's basically 3 group projects. Just make sure you keep in contact with your group members. Those are basically your grades. Makes up 45% right there.

Prof. Thomas is a very nice lady. She tries to help to the best of her ability. She is a bit unclear about what is it that she wants from the students. There is a good deal of work involved in this class and she is strict about it. But do take her, she is not as bad as people say!

A very nice, almost grandmotherly, professor. She often does not follow the syllabus and changes her mind about assignments regularly. There is some busy work, but it's not too bad. You may often find yourself wondering why you came to class when you can either read the book or know the material already.

I strong advise you to avoid this professor. She was terrible at communicating and generally unhelpful when asked a direct question. Often she just referred you to the textbook or powerpoint. I seriously doubt her credibility as a computer scientist. Not to mention the excessive amount of busy work which taught very little and just wasted your time

Very nice lady. Her classes definitely require you to think outside of the box. If you don't know anything about distributed computing then you will just be lost. While she doesn't lecture much, she lets you do your own thing and makes it competitive among teams. This class is not for people who need to have their hand held throughout the course.

Her class is so useless, she doesnt teach at all and gave us so much work to do. we have like 5 hws every week. and everybody is confuse with the class. She doesnt teach but she's real strict about hws n attendance!!!! I dont know what she gets pay for! i HATE her!!! Worst prof i ever have!

if you need help she will help you outside the classroom, otherwise she doesnt teach you anything. she stands there and reads whats on the board. i still dont understand a lot of her stuff. shes tough and demands a lot. she also doesnt tell you what you need till after its done...GET ANOTHER TEACHER IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE

I totally agree with what someone mentioned earlier about her.Very unclear about what she expects in the assignments/projects and realises what she wants out of you after everyone submits the assignments and will then say 'you have to include this' and 'have to do it like abc did it'.Be prepared to do EVERYTHING your self.Will not learn anything.

I took her class 3 yrs ago, but still trying to figure out how on earth she earned her PhD. Never attempted to teach. When you raise a question her response would be "well, what do you think?" No joke! I learn EVERYTHING from my group members. It's a required course, so tough it out.
