This class was not just boring but the grading scale is screwed up. Ohio state sucks at screening scenile old men. I attended 2 lectures due to lack of stimulation and never went to a recitation because of TA language barrier. Still got a B

Wasn't a big fan of this class. While we watch movies (which we are doing 60% of the time) he sits at the front of the room, flips through papers, and just stairs at people with his crazy hair... he has tenure and doesn't care to teach apparently. TA was much more helpful. Be prepared to read 60-70 pages for each class w/ homework due each day.

This class was insane. You have to read the material before class to the homework then you go to class and he tells you what you already know, point less. You have to go to both lecture and recitation because you need the bonus points to get a C. The material was not difficult it was the way it was presented on the test. avoid!

Professor Fleisher is possibly one of the most worthless teachers I have ever had. The class was out of 112 total points. His grading scale was so screwed up that you could miss no more than 8 points to get an A- and if you missed 20 you were suddenly looking at a c- in the class. The guy is certifiably crazy and if you get his class try to drop it

Not only is Belton absolutely worthless as an instructor, he has an obsession with china and cats which borders on creepy. Worst professor I have ever had hands down. If you get him please please please please drop the class. DONT BOTHER STUDYING.grading system is completely messed up...I still don't know what I got and I took the class last year

this guy is pretty nuts. few screws a little loose i think, but oh well i suppose. he does give a good curve though...which is good since his exam questions come out of nowhere.

Very boring lectures, got an A only by doing homework. TA's will make or break grade, I learned a lot from the TA because professor had the most monotone voice ever. Exams were tough but you need to read the book and stay caught up!

The TA was doing all the work, and we watched movies 70% all the lecture time. You have to read (skim) the books, since HW is 30% of the grade. 20% for 8 page paper and another 20 for 10 min presentation. The final was take home. Overall is pretty easy class if you put minimum effort in keeping up with the material and staying up during the movies.

Adds an occasional joke to keep students awake during lectures. Does attendance checks often. The review he provided for the final was misleading but he ended up giving a generous curve to make up for it.

The exams were fair, except for the final that had nothing to do with anything out of the text and was based mostly on a movie and some experiments which were optional...

His odd sense of humour and random powerpoint slides kept me awake in lecture. I can't remember how many times those woke me up from my slumber. The lectures were based off the book, but he communicated it well. His midterms are somewhat coherent with the book. The final is a different story however. He focused a lot on the experiments.

questions on test only very vaguely resemble anything you've ever seen. if you don't get the exact answer he's looking for on short answer questions he doesnt get you credit. the material in the book is easy and common sense, but he doesn't even use what the book says on his tests. dont even bother studying, it wont help

Very clear and coherent speaking, and is concise. However, rather boring, repetitive, and odd. Plays random music and talks of his vacations to Asia incessantly. Not the greatest teacher.

Comment:
very unclear class, lectures were based on practice homeworks and thats it. The online homeworks do not relate to the exams at all. Grading is impossible to figure out, worked very hard and still got bad grade. He also does not know how to used computers and is not helpful at all in office hours
