Comment:

Professor Gray was a really good professor with clear objectives and a clear grading rubric. He genuinely cares about his students. ST 260 is a difficult class, but he adds a curve and extra points on each test to help you receive a better grade. His lectures can get boring sometimes, but he tries his best to make them interesting.

Comment:

Dr. Gray is a great teacher he really wants his students to do well. The class consists of 5 tests with one drop and he curved all of our exams and even gave us 20-30 extra points at the beginning of each test. At the end of the semester he even changes the final grade averages. ex: a 69 could be a C. I highly recommend!!!

Dr. Gray was one of my favorite professors at UA! Great guy and interesting lectures! Tests can be hard if you don't stay on top of your work. Overall great guy, but hard class.

I loved Dr. Gray! He's a great guy and a great teacher. He's easily accessible and so is his TA. They're both really helpful and update your grade through out the semester to let you know where you stand. If you have to take stats, take him!

He's a nice guy, but his class is very hard to pay attention to. He also assigns a lot of homework that he doesn't even collect the next day, which is annoying because you usually have to print it out in case he does. It's easy material, and he wants you to pass because it's a prereq for business school, but you really have to try.

Nice man, terrible professor. I would not recommend taking him. His class is hard to pass and graded on very little work with no drops so if you mess up once your grade will reflect it. Homework every class and possibly a quiz. His lectures are hard to learn and understand from and his tests are hard as well. Save yourself, find a different teacher

As a person he's a nice guy but his teaching skills needs more work. He will literally take the whole class period on a 2 examples that have no corelation to what you're going to be tested on. There's a lot of homework/quizzes that are easy but they won't help you with the exams. Don't miss class cause after a certain amount he'll subtract points.

He's a great teacher, very caring. Attendance is mandatory, do not take this class if you plan on skipping because you will be penalized for it. There are usually pop quizzes daily; do the homework and review notes. The tests aren't too bad except the final is killer. I would recommend him, but understand it will not be a cake walk.

Assigned seats in Alston 10. Homework due every class and you have to print it out and then he never collects it. You have to stay the entire class time on test days even if you're finished. Pop quizzes all the time and they're challenging. He even said he's a hard grader and we might do better with another professor.

Pretty good prof. The class is not too hard, but it's a ton of information. He does curve grades if they aren't as high as he thinks they should be. Go to class! Do the HW, it really helps on quizzes and tests. Tests are a little tricky, but he gives partial credit. He does assign HW and gives quizzes and they will either make or break your grade- it's up to you.

Hands down, GREAT professor. Very enthusiastic about Stats. Wonderful attitude, extremely helpful, and his lecture notes are AWESOME! The class is a bit difficult, but he does his best to break the material down so that everyone understands it. Take him, you won't be sorry. :)

Class is easy. Lectures are very helpful. Gray is very obviously really, really intelligent, but I found him rather cocky and kind of obnoxious. I hated going to his class, and played cell phone games more than I took notes (attendance = bonus points), but I did the homework and practice tests and came out with an A+.

love this teacher! he is so nice. this class is a pretty difficult. anyone who says its easy obviously has a niche for this kind of stuff. i got an A in the class but i really had to work hard for it. you get 2 bonus points for 0-1 absences. first test isn't too bad but the others are. GO TO CLASS!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED HIM!! I Hated Stats but loved going to class, genuine teacher, incredibly friendly and wants everyone to succeed. Tests are hard and you need to attend class, but you will enjoy it!!

I thought that this class would be hard, but it is a joke. Gray is a decent teacher, but the material isnt hard. He gives 2 points on your average for not missing more than 1 class, he gives partial credit on some problems on exams, and if you go to class, pay attention, and do the homework, you will get an A.

This class is hard, no lie. Most likely the hardest I've ever taken, but this teacher is one of the most (if not the most) amazing teachers ever. He goes above and beyond to help his students to succeed. If you take Stats and do not take him you are crazy. I did not like stats, but I LOVED his class and enjoyed having him as my professor.
