Get ready to debug the instructors class. Get online book, for ease. Instructor is very disorganized. Group project is difficult for online class. Groups members are assigned by instructor. I got a Near-perfect score. Lots of homework (mostly busy work). Instructor doesn't respect students, acts as if students are wrong even on her errors.

Very easy class, only 2 major projects (solo 2D game and 3D group game) and a research paper. Very interesting and fun class, low stress. No need to attend class if you read the book and know what is happening. Take it as one of your CS electives, easy A.

Easy class if your organized. The assignments are tedious, especially when there are many different "phases" each week. The group research paper SUCKS. Trying to do a paper with people you have never met is brutal. Takes a long time to grade work, especially the group research paper. Midterm/Final are EASY if you have the textbook

Easy class, I took it online. You are constantly completing assignments but they are easy and small. I did not have the textbook and received an A. Hardest part is the group research paper due to coordinating with people you never meet in person. Easiest class I have taken at State.

Low impact class. You actually will learn some things unless you've taken a similar course before. Mostly reading, nothing technical at all. The toughest thing in the class is the group project, but it doesn't need to be difficult if you don't make it that way. DO get the textbook, you will need it. Enjoyable course.

I took the online class and it's really the easiest class I've taken at state. It's an easy A. Just post all the discussion boards & do all the extra credit, it's extremely easy. A lot of extra credit! Take this class! :)

I took the online class and it was extremely easy, but definitely worth taking. Most of your assignments are done over discussion boards. Personally, I thought it was great to actually apply textbook concepts to real life scenarios and be able to discuss them with our classmates. Tons of extra credit!

Really easy class.....tons of extra credit. It was an online class so a lot of discussion board work but nothing out of the ordinary. We did have one group research paper but you got to pick the topic as it relates to computers and society. Definitely recommend if you need a class to fulfill requirements.

oh man, why is this lady still teaching? Its the end of the semester and she still hasn't graded the MIDTERM! Too much busy work and the assignments were idiotic. I learned nothing. What a waste of time. With all the budget cuts and layoffs, how did she fall through the cracks? With that said, I got an A.

EASY class. After a couple of weeks, class is only once a week, but you don't really have to go. 1 Midterm and 1 non-cumulative final, both are taken on BlackBoard with no time restriction. You can even look at it way in advance and have one week to finish it. Book not needed. A few forum postings every week, with TONS of extra credit. Easy A

Stewart is a bad teacher who can't grade, communicate, or make assignments. I'm not sure where she gets the assingments but she doesn't even understand them herself. Hard class, bad teacher, lot of work.

Despite being disorganized, she was really EASY! I don't know why everyone is saying not to take her. Always offers to help. Busy work each week and it takes her forever to grade, but it's so easy! book only used as a reference. midterm and final are the same - test on BB with essay. Term paper is annoying but graded liberally. take for an easy GE

Stewart is probably the worst teacher at state. This teacher is able to make simple material difficult with her ridiculous and confusing assignments, which you will learn nothing from.

Awful teacher. You constantly have to double check your grades, which is tedious since the grading takes her forever. According to her own syllabus, there were attendance points, which she totally ignored because SHE failed to take attendance. Instead, she made the paper worth more AFTER it had already been submitted. Time for her to move on.

Comment:
Stewart can explain things clearly when she does explain things. She let class leave early frequently and was not well-prepared. I wish lectures had been better prepared with more examples and the details explained instead of skipped over. She is a nice person but seems tired. I still got something out of the class though.
