Clear and concise. I love his pre-recorded lectures because they are easy watching and they get to the point. Solid class and delivery.

One of the best prof's I've taken at McGill. He provides a lot of practice problems and they are very representative of what will appear on his exams. If you understand the practice problems, there is no doubt you will get an A. He is also very approachable and friendly, making it easy to go to his office hours if you need extra help.

It REALLY takes forever for him to go over the definitions and theoretical stuff .. Didn't learn quite much in the course. To be honest if you want to do well you'd better just study the problems and do tons of practices. Not caring, not helpful.

His class lectures and slides have absolutely nothing to do with the exams. His exams have 0 consistency from year-to-year, and the solutions to his exams are from his own personal audit experience. Hes a nice guy, but has no mercy on exams and will definitely lower your GPA. Lastly, he dumps 20 pages of typed solutions per chapter problems.. AVOID

Cecere has a reputation for giving hard exams, however I honestly don't think they were that bad. I've had much worse. Yes, our one midterm had a low class average but then he made the final way easier. As long as you read the whole textbook, do the assigned questions and all of his practice exams, you should be alright.

I read the textbook before every class (he makes a very clear syllabus) and I did well. The grade is a good distribution- easy participation, online quizzes that everyone helps eachother, then a VERY fair midterm and final. He was very engaging and knowledgable and a fair grader.

Tough grader. I personally would not recommend him if you want to genuinely understand your accounting classes and if you want to pass/get good marks. Don't let his charm fool you cause he's really though during exams. Very low class averages (around 50%).

Just your average prof. He does what he has to do i.e. going through the lecture slides in class. A lot of students started to skip towards the end. 2 group projects (cases) that were fairly easy. Midterm and final was pretty easy though. Just do a lot of practice problems from the textbook and *attend the tutorials!*

Wowwwww.... no comments! Probably the most LAZIEST prof I ever met at McGill. Not available outside class, uses the textbook's slides, teaches irrelevant things in class. On top of that, he gives the HARDEST exams. If you care about your GPA and about learning, I advise you not to take him. I like him as a person, but he sucks as a prof.

Nice teacher, makes the lecture interesting an worth your time. Exams are straight forward but you have to be ready. Do many exam preparation as they differ from one another. Really knowledgable and will prepare you for the actual accounting world. Read your textbook and do the suggested problems and you will be fine.

Don't be fooled by Cecere's good looks. A mix of Maks Chmerkovskiy & Robert De Niro, he is overall a good prof. However, be ready for the exams. They were hell & were not really representative of what was taught in class nor of what was read in the textbook. He wants you to do well, but his exams were for more advanced level accounting students.

very interesting lectures, very professional and handsome prof, but exams were extremely challenging to me.... I've just passed.... Prof. Cecere is known to be a tough grader. Lectures were a pure pleasure, but writing the exams was a nightmare.... Though, perhaps it wasn't a problem of the prof......

cool lectures but exams are a different thing - they are super hard, lectures do not aid in preparation for the exams, and a presentation is a waste of time for this course...

Not a bad prof but there are better ones out there. He goes too fast in his lectures and makes it tough for you to absorb the material properly.

Principle of Auditing - 20% presentation 15 mins & 5-10mins video & hard copy - 2 midterms class average low - he speeds through or skips slides - hard marker - knowing theory isn't enough.

I took this class in my first semester. The prof is humorous and his lectures are informative. If you plan to major in accounting, you'll learn a lot from his intro class. He's also willing to regrade certain questions of your exam without regrading the whole paper. But be prepared to do lots of problems and read through the textbook after class.

Prof Cecere is a good professor. He is charismatic and makes plenty of dad jokes. He made the material clear, however I don't think I could've done well without the textbook. I'd say you can do well with him, as long as you are willing to put some effort into it.
