Brother Hammond is one of the best religion professors I have ever had. He is the nicest and the most genuine man ever. I loved his insights! Would definitely recommend him over and over again and take his class again for sure!

Bro Hammond was one of my favourite teachers. I took a first block class and was sad when his class finished. His classroom is very relaxed, open discussion but prepare to study 5 hours a week. Self-assessed class. He knows all his students' names, regardless of whether they contribute or not. He's passionate and inspirational about the Gospel.

He was so amazing! He is very in tune with the spirit and gives the most incredible lectures. He cares for each student and you can tell. He respects everyone and loves his family. He can be pretty funny too.

One of the worst professors I've had. He doesn't really take care of ilearn. Doesn't read your papers. Rambles throughout class. Very nice as a person, just a horrible professor. Some group work in the class, and dating is required (not a bad thing). Class isn't bad itself, I wouldn't recommend Hammond if he was the last professor on Earth.

He's amazing! Has great knowledge & testimony that shows through in his classroom. Wants us all to learn from each other. Super kind & will always help you out! Homework takes some time, but it's not hard as long as you do it! I've been inside his home, & he practices what he preaches! Such an incredible spirit and love there. Such a genuine guy.

Bro. Hammond is a great guy; he knows his stuff and loves the students. However, he's set the course up with a lot of busy-work; most of it is reading that isn't relevant with the class discussion. Each class we write 250 words about what we read, but I don't think he reads what we write. Like I said, he's a good guy; I don't suggest him as a prof.

I really like Bro Hammond, but DO NOT take him for Rel. freedom. I took it the 1st semester he taught it, and he had no idea what he was talking about. The readings were difficult, boring, and often never discussed in class. I got 52% on the midterm & was one of the highest scores, so the tests are nearly impossible. Love Bro Hammond--not the class

Pretty standard for religion professors: uses tons of obscure quotes to back up his own opinions about how we should all be living like its 1950s America. Not as confrontational as other religion professors, but still spreads potentially damaging ideas. Also very disorganized, but is willing to admit that about himself. Nice guy, mediocre professor

He is the coolest old man, and was great for the eternal family class. I felt like participation was always very involved, and that the class was calm during controversial topics.

This class and this teacher are not prepared, and frankly quite bigoted. Don't take if you in any way lean to liberal philosophy. Also, don't take if you're not white, or if you're a white person that cares about non-white people.

Brother Hammond is a really inspirational teacher and really cares about the subjects he teaches. Homework is usually just readings to prepare for class, with a few group projects that are not bad at all. I would really recommend taking his class.

Easy participation work but a very boring class. He is a great guy. He sticks to the lesson and doesn't really follow where the class wants to go, so I felt like I learned less than I should have. Easy, but if you want to have fun and learn take it from another professor.

Brother Hammond is the biggest sweetheart! I daresay that it was his warm personality and inspiring testimony that made the class so meaningful. I found myself looking forward to his class every single time just to hear his spiritual thoughts. Homework is 75 minutes of reading plus a 350 word essay every night, but it was worth it-I learned a ton!

Amazing person, and extremely humble. He is the guy to take for Family Foundations (now called "The Eternal Family"). He makes the class much easier because he is all about the doctrine rather than the assignments. The class can be controversial, but he handles it really well. Every two weeks you have a quiz, a large group meeting, and a report.

I love Brother Hammond as a person. I think he is a wonderful man with a lot of great values. As far as his teaching, his directions are sometimes confusing and it takes him awhile to get his point across. What I love about his class is that there aren't any tests in the testing center, however, there is A LOT of busy work and homework/reading due.

Brother Hammond was quite boring for me. He takes a bit to long to get out what he's trying to say, and he doesn't dive deeper into student's questions, he just passes over them casually. With that being said, the class was easy. 75 minutes of reading before each class, and a 200 word reflection on what you read.

Brother Hammond is by far my favorite professor. He is the most humble man I know. The Spirit was always so strong during class and he genuinely cares about every person there. He helped me gain a greater love for the Book of Mormon and helped me in so many other ways. Brother Hammond is seriously the best!

A really awesome religion teacher! I took Church History from him and really liked it. the the Assignments aren't hard and there is only one "test" its more of a worksheet and its open note, open internet, open everything. You really have to go to class and not skip.

I LOVE BROTHER HAMMOND! He is the nicest person. He gets to know each of his student by name and gets to know them personally. He'll never forget you once you've taken his class. It is obvious that he love what he does and it makes the classes very enjoyable. No tests, simple reading assignments, a few easy papers and easy group projects.
