took him online. didnt read a single class text - as you can get away with in many classes at Pace. your class grade is solely based on 2 papers - midterm and final paper which he is strict to grade based on your analysis. other than that, its just a bunch of discussion boards weekly which barely count for anything. not really an easy A course.

I took him for Normative Ethics and Contemporary Problems and I genuinely loved the class. You post discussion boards once a week there was a midterm paper a presentation and a final paper. The only thing he was very particular about what the way he wants you to cite your paper but other than that great teacher, easy class.

The class itself is pretty easy because he is an easy grader. Not many assignments. His lectures get confusing, but the second half of the semester is spent on group projects that are easy to follow. Attendance is important, and he is a very easy grader.

Took this online, would definately reccomend it. It's a lot of work, but so are most online classes. Plus the material wasn't boring and Professor Tuncel is a fair grader and a good guy.

(Online) He is incredible. I haven't gotten my grade yet but he posts all grades on Blackboard that are easy to follow & know where you are. I had no knowledge of phil prior to & if you're just a little competent, you'll do great. His notes are extremely helpful and he always responds to email. Short reports (2 pgs) throughout & midterm/final paper

I took Ancient philosophy online with Professor Tuncel. He's very clear, and the material is surprisingly interesting and not hard. He is not a hard grader and the workload is decent for an online class. I recommend this class!

I traveled to Greece with Yunus for Ancient Greek Philosophy. He is extremely knowledgeable and a very good person. He will help you if you reach out to him. He is Turkish and has a rather thick accent but you get used to it. He is not a hard grader but cares about the material.

I took him my freshman year for philosophy. He is very intelligent and surprisingly a lot more down to earth than he seems to be. He enjoys a good sense of humor and class participation. I enjoyed this class and it was pretty easy as long as you do the readings and have a basic idea of what's going on.

Comment:
This Professor is condescending yet extremely vague and not impressively articulate. His presentations are blasé and underwhelming. He is of the school that likes to set students up for failure so that he can maintain his over-exalted sense of himself. I got an A, but I found his prigishness unbearable.

As long as you do and understand the reading, as well as the reports(which help you for the midterm and final), you should do fine. Class participation helps.

Class was very easy and from nov. until the the end is just group project presentation. Very easy to get an A. Read the chapters for an A on the test. His handwriting is COMPLETLEY unreadable, but still a good teacher.
