Class is EXTREMELY BORING. No interaction in class the guy just talks for the entire class period nonstop. He is very organized and grading is very clear. Problem sets are graded by attempt.

The class is basically a few weeks of lecture with a few homework assignments mixed in. Gindling makes the chapters interesting but the lectures tend to drag. We had 2 Exams, 6 Problem sets, and Online homework. Old exams are on his website which make for a great study guide. Grading is unclear... he doesn't use Blackboard like other professors.

It shows the professor was passionate about economics. the lectures could be dry at times, but if you pay attention, take notes, and read the textbook, the class is very easy. and he would often make jokes to make the lecture more entertaining. BTW he loves milky way bars.

If you're interested in learning something new, this is the class to take. Dr. Gindling is also very passionate about his field. Unfortunately, he does not use blackboard and his grading is unclear and tough. Still, it's not a very difficult course. Grade is based on 2 exams, 6 brief essays, and "participation" (he just gives an A for that).

Lectures are interesting but the pacing is so slow it gets dry. The midterms and exams arent difficult as long as you attend classes and review notes. The averages are usually Bs. Hw is light and is either problem sets, which are graded for completion, or myeconlab, where you get many attempts.

He was pretty good and offered quite a few opportunities for office hours, especially with his multitude of TA. He is very knowledgeable and passionate. He does have a fascination with Milky Way Bars. He does have practice exams on his personal website. His website is a little weird and outdated however, I wish he just put it on black board.

Great guy. He is really passionate about Economics and that comes through in his lectures. He tries to keep the lectures as interesting and current as possible. He made the content easy to understand and was a fair grader. The old exams posted online REALLY help so study them.

This class isn't too easy to put it flat out. As long as you pay attention to the lectures or read the chapters you'll be fine. Go over the old exams he has on his website because his exams are close to his old ones with similar questions. He loves the topic and he explains it well. If your lost ask questions because he'll explain it. Great dude.

By far, one of the most valuable Economic professor out there! He is very intelligent, helpful, and clear. It might be hard to stay focused during the lectures, but don't miss out on his notes! You will need them for the exams. If you show up in class, participate, and take good notes, you will be fine. Come to him for you need advising too!

awesome prof, very helpful. I was preparing frantically for the class by reading the textbook because I thought I wouldn't do well without microeconomics. I was wrong. He makes everything easy for you so don't worry. Just pay attention cuz it gets boring sometimes, but other wise, he's an excellent professor!!!

Final is cumulative. 6 Problem sets, he checks them for completion. 6 Online Quizzes. Use his previous exams uploaded on BlackBoard to study for the exams.Really helps! Milky way bars FTW!

Clear, Honest, intelligent, and patient. He cares a lot about his students. I changed my major to economics after hearing him explain economic principles using snicker bars. I have a very high respect for Prof. Gindling who is an outstanding teacher in my opinion.

Awesome, two test, and a weekly one page paper. Gives you an extensive review sheet before each exam. Do the review properly, and you will get at least a B. Very helpful if you go to his office with questions.

Loved the professor! Loved his milky-way bar scenarios, loved how he went beyond the scope of the book to get his points across about current real-world issues. My only issue is my dyslexia with math, which is what kept me from doing as well as possible, but Gindling, you are hot because you know current events, and I find that sexy!

Seems to be a genuinely nice man. Exams are heavily based off of notes, problem sets, aplia questions, and past exams. Reasonable grading, and not my toughest class at all. I am an Econ major and feel like Gindling was a great choice for my Macro class.
