The most amazing professor I've ever had in Geneseo. Her Austen class is a MUST. She is so quirky & lovely and makes class so interesting, wonderful, and entertaining. Her heart is made of gold too and she is so sweet and understanding. Very fair and generous grader & will do anything to help, even if busy. I will miss her dearly after graduation.

Celia Easton is an incredible professor. And while this class is not an easy A, it is not terribly difficult to get one if you actually get involved with the class. She is very humorous and kind, and offers real-world applications for the texts we read. If she is offering a class, I would snatch the opportunity!!

An excellent professor! She really knows her stuff and she has a great sense of humor. The class is a bit difficult because of the required material, but she's a fair grader and gives fantastic lectures. If you can take HUMN with her, do it!

Very condescending-if you don't agree with her, you're wrong. Had to read every book carefully and discuss it tirelessly. Useless comments on papers-not much room for creativity in writing. Didn't explain the final exam fully and most of the class came unprepared. Hard exam-made us quote from every book. Stay away if you have a brain or an opinion.

A very tough but fair grader, she is smart and witty and will not be BSed. An excellent professor who knows what she's doing, and more importantly, knows how to teach it.

I graduated from Geneseo in 2001, but wanted to add my comments about Prof. Easton because she's great! She explains everything very clearly, and is a fair grader. If you put the effort in, you will enjoy the class and get a decent grade!

Amazing professor. Delivers a perfect balance of historical perspective and unique ideas. She has a very dry sense of humor which I absolutely fell in love with from the first day of class. Paper topics can involve fair amounts of creative writing and are infinitely more interesting than the essay in place of which I'm writing this review. *sigh*

Celia Easton was an absolutely amazing professor. She had a wonderful grasp of the subject matter and was a lot more down-to-earth than other professors of her intellectual calabre. Definitely not an easy A, though. Then again, few courses at Geneseo are.

She's very challenging, but she makes you want to put forth nothing but your very best. She might be the most brilliant person I have ever met. She's hilarious but doesn't know how funny she actually is, which makes it great.

i dont know what the deal is with you guys but reading is not the end all be all in this class. i think its the difference between an A and a B, unless you dont know how to write at all. bull**** is an art that even easton can appreciate.
