Overall a really great prof, who knows Latin well. 25% attendance/participation, 25% final, 25% midterm, 25% quizzes about 8/9 quizzes and he takes the 5 best. You've seen everything he tests you on beforehand and he's extremely fair with grading. Very kind and considerate, will work with you.

like a grandpa, really kind professor. 5 quizzes, lowest dropped, midterm and final which were very similar to quizzes. fair, expects you to know how the latin works as opposed to just memorizing the translation. i dont recommend taking latin, but if its the easiest way to fill the core req, go with him

Really genial, like a pediatrician. Good teacher, fair grader, goes over his expectations pretty clearly and teaches pretty well. Class was very boring sometimes, but really likeably professor who doesn't expect too much.

He's a nice guy. Read the stories, go to class, but you don't even have to take notes because there's a "class notebook" on ERES later. The tests are cake if you just follow with the stories. We watch videos a lot so it's a relaxing environment.

Nice man but concentrates on useless things on his test. The first test is the toughest and then you get a feel of how his tests are. The best part is that he collects notes from a student a day and then makes it avialable for resources prior to midterms. It tough to voice opinions in his class bc he likes to stick to his own.

interesting class to take. short simple assignments throughout the semester- usually no more then a page. however, has a unique way of grading tests. i missed one class the semester and sure enough there was a question worth 20 points on the final about that class. fair guy, but expect to work hard and write a ton on those tests. decent eng prof

Dr. Clark is a really nice guy, but completely arbitrary when it comes to grading. Emphasis is on useless facts, rather than themes or main ideas of the books. Your grade depends on whatever he "feels" is appropriate...very easy class, hard A.

Professor Clark is the best. If you can't get good grades in his class then it's your fault. Don't say he's boring because he's not. Just push yourself. He's my favorite prof, hands down! ...and I should've been a latin major! :-)

very good teacher, nice and helpful, explained the plays in detail and his lectures made it easy to take notes(but there was also a class notebook on reserve in case you didn't take notes)classes could occasionally be boring, but the plays were interesting and the class was easy, definitely recommend and would take him again

Seems like a good guy but the fact that he's such a tough & unfair grader & that he makes interesting material boring is reason for you to not take this class. I deserved a much higher grade than what he gave me in all my tests, papers & final grade.

3 tests, 1 paper, little writing hw(you get points just for handing it in). Explains everything really well. Obviously likes what he teaches. You must put down all details on exam, forget 1 small part of question & get points taken off, even if questions is very long & you explained the rest of it exactly as he likes it. great class esp w/ mythology

Very easy class. You just read what is assigned and sometimes you answer a simple question and hand it in. He goes over the play in detail for like a week, so there is plenty of time to understand the play. there are no quizzes- only midterm, final and one paper.
