Comment:
This class is a lot of work and reading. There is a lot expected in such a short period of time, but it is not difficult and Professor Soltero is understanding. She is flexible and very nice and I was able to learn interesting knowledge through the assignments and textbooks.

Shes a very nice person, but the amount of homework she assigned us is just unnecessary. The tests were open notes and open book, which I like. Its not that the class is hard, its just that there was so much work we had to do that seemed pointless to me. Getting an A is still easy, its just a lot of tedious assignments youll have to do.

Do not take this class. She is a very nice person, but her teaching is all over the place and never has the dates right for test and homework. During class she get so off topic by just one thing. Also she only gives you handouts of power points from the book which are not that helpful.

Mrs. Soltero was very nice, but extremely inexperienced. She doesn't know the first thing about teaching. As long as you stay on her you will get a good grade, but beware... she is all over the place with due dates and tests, she didn't even show up to our final. The entire class complained to the head of the department and they did not care at all

Very unorganized. not clear on assignments and changes due dates with no update. some assignments are due on days you do not attend class. can also be rude when asking for clarification on assignments. Attendance is part of your grade doesnt matter if your grandma passed or your in the hospital you get marked down still even if you have a doc note

If you're looking for an easy A this is definitely the class but beware for the obnoxiously long lectures and the attitude you'll get for asking questions. I got a good grade in the class but I don't feel like I learned a thing and felt very disrespected constantly.

Shes not super clear on assignments unless you ask for clarification and doesnt really stick to the syllabus, but informs the class of date changes. Her lectures are fun and she encourages story times about our childhood experiences. She sometimes lags on grading but an excellent person and even lets us use our notes and textbooks for the tests.
