Dr. Kengor is by far the most interesting prof I've had. Sure he can go off on tangents as some students have noted, but you always leave feeling as if you've learned a lot about the Middle East. He's always more than happy to give advice on the assignments and easy to reach after class. Can't recommend enough!

Great lecturer, understanding about missed classes, tests were fair, ability and understanding based not memorization based. Hates communism for sure.

Probably my favorite professor at GCC. I loved going to class and he is SO knowledgeable. His tests are easy if you study. Almost always fill in the blank. So if you study you ace it, and if you don't you can do poorly, but it will be your own fault. He tests off his lectures but you'll want to go to class because he's amazing. TAKE HIM!!

Sitting in Dr. Kengor's class is like listening to Sean Hannity go off on liberals for an hour. He does not even try to help the class understand why socialists think the way they do...we simply begin with the premise that they are idiotic. He always says "You can't make this stuff up!" when discussing American liberals.

Comparative Politics is an awesome class with an awesome professor. His exams are super easy, the paper was a book review, and his lectures were super interesting (especially when he puts on his Communist accent).

Kengor is the man, hands down. He teaches the class extremely well, and his lectures are interesting. The course work is extremely easy, as the paper is nothing more than a book review and the two tests can be completed in 20 minutes. I took this class, loved it, and I got an A+ in it. Kengor is hands down my favorite professor at Grove City.

Comment:
Kengor's classes lack content and organization. I often left class feeling robbed of time, money, and subject matter. He focuses exlusively on the history of the Middle East, not the political institutions. He is capeable of teaching a better class. Be warned: big let down. (PS. Israel is the size of NJ NOT Delaware)

Quite possibly the most disappointing classes at GCC and in the department. Middle Eastern politics was a history class, not a poli sci class. Kengor's lectures were disorganized and lacked content. He knows his stuff and he can teach, why didn't this class reflect this? Be warned.

I am a conservative, but I like to have my views challenged and refined, which didn't happen at all in this class. Listening to his lectures is like listening to a more intelligent Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh. He's at least 5 mins late for every class and he gets his facts wrong constantly. He is also stuck a Cold-War era mentality as well.

If you're conservative and don't want to have your views challenged at all, you will absolutely love this class. On the other hand, if you're looking for an unbiased view of politics, take Folkertsma, Coulter, or Stanton instead. This is easily the most biased class, left-wing or right-wing, that I have ever taken.

Seems to be a respectable, knowledgable guy but his biases seep through everything he says. Take him only if you're a conservative who doesn't like hearing alternative opinions, or if you're good at filtering through stuff. He has a tendency to generalize about liberals but will make some insightful comments now and again.

I'm certainly no liberal but I would never take him again. He really doesn't seem to care at all. When you think about how much youre paying for what you get in his class you will cry. Tests are random and you learn next to nothing. Nice guy with good politics but bad prof.

His class lacks actual substance. He is very arrogant both personally and ideologically. On the plus side the reading and work load is light.
