My FAVORITE teacher ever! I have always dreaded writing papers and wasn't really sure how. He starts from the beginning and you build your writing skills throughout the year. Papers are short and there are only 4, they have to be quality work but he teaches you how to write them. Readings are interesting. Just show up to class and you'll do great.

Professor Williams is truly a great english professor. He is very clear and precise about the structure that is required for assignments and essays...the only way to do poorly (i.e. get below a B) would be to not show up or to not clearly follow the guidelines which he states the first day on the syllabus...I recommend taking his course!

He is the worst english teacher ive ever had. Even if you got an A in AP english in high school, youll still do bad due to his really harsh grading. He highly recommends the writing lab, yet even papers that they say are phenomenal recieve really bad grades. I would not take him, his class will ruin your GPA.

He's a pretty good professor. Very laid back and will sometimes let you out of class early on Fridays. I'm an English major so the class was a bit slow for me because it was so easy but it was a fun class to go to. I never had the urge to skip it. We do lots of reading but they're all short for the most part and we discuss them in class the next da

Nit-picky teacher thats stern about his rules. Funny at times but very corny. Class is not too hard and I am a weak English student. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the class, but I would not discourage it either.

Was very strict on attendance, but was late to every class. All my papers were short papers. The final was only supposed to be 3-4 pages. I do not feel that this class well prepared me for future writing projects. You have to actually write your papers no bs, but pretty much an easy grade.

AMAZING professor. I really enjoyed this class...if you are looking for a great professor who truly enjoys teaching and has insightful class discussions TAKE HIM! At the beginning of the semester has more homework assignments but quite manageable...towards the end mostly reading...he chooses great material...TAKE HIM!

Professor Williams is a very interesting teacher. A very nice man, and definately helpful. He will make the path to a good grade very clear and is willing to help all of the way. I definately recommend his class, considering he bases his academic writing of of novels and plays.

I loved his class. We read novels and wrote 4 essays total on the 4 different novels. He makes it IMPOSSIBLE to fail his class. Participation, essay, writing test, and homework grades. I heard the writing test was almost impossible but its only 10% and we ran out of time to take it. Fair grader. Interesting take on novels. Great class discussions.

William's class was my favorite this semester despite the fact I never enjoyed English previously. He requires a few simple and easy formatting requirements which you can easily lose points on so pay attention. He is not too tough a grader on essays and provides plenty of opportunities to conference. Class discussion made this class awesome.

I love writing, and I'm good at it. The only reason I got into honors college was due to my writing. Yet Williams completely tore me apart. I'm used to open teachers who value you're opinion on a paper. A word of advice, if you have him, just have him tell you what to write, view point and all. This class made me hate honors college and English.

Mr. Williams is one of the few teachers that I have encountered who values the student's opinion and encourages open-minded and debatable in-class discussions. This class has encouraged me to pursue an English degree, and I highly recommend it to people who enjoy introspective and critical writing. This class is not an easy A.

This class was terrible.I loved English, but I couldnt deal with Prof. Williams' extremely strict formatting. It distracted too much from the content of the writing. Also, class participation was 15% of the grade, and I couldnt get in a word because of very talkative classmates-my grade suffered.I didnt learn a thing and was frustrated most of the time.

I talked to one of his honor students-- she loved him. I did not take his honor class, and I'm pretty sure he hated every single member of our class. He treated us all like we were slacking, irresponsible bums. Just one of those professors I will never like or respect. But if your in honors, maybe you'll have a better experience.

I HATE him. His is never clear on exactly what he wants on his papers. He takes forever to grade homeworks (which are supposed to help you write your paper but does not give them back to you until a day before the paper is due). Yeah you can ask him for help... but first he will make you sound retarded and then tell you that he doesn't know what yo

He cares more about format than teaching. I got 6 points deducted from my paper for not stapling it Properly (94 to an 88). I'm not even one to complain about teachers-I have a 3.8 gpa and got a B in his class even though I participated and did well on all my papers. Seriously this guy is not worth anyone's time. He's a sarcastic know-it-all.
