Comment:
She does not do classical "artist year title" slides on the test, she wants you to understand the meaning behind the work and its significance. If you miss class get notes from somebody because the lectures ADD to the text, not replace it. She is a fair grader, its just a lot of information to digest if this is not your major/minor.

3 sets of Reading Journals, 2 Essays, 3 Tests (Vocab quiz, Midterm, Final). Her lectures are super boring and fast-paced! She gives you full credit for doing the Reading journals. First essay was medium-hard. Second essay (visit a labyrinth) was essay. ALL her tests are HARD! She is a very hard grader and doesn't even try to give you some points...

Class is hard especially if this is not your major. Every class is mandatory, and if you don't bring a computer to class you will not be able to write everything she says. No exaggeration, she talks FAST. Overall nice lady, but doesn't even remind her students that a major assignment is due the next class!!! And doesn't go over any assignments

If you like listening to nonstop lectures for the entire class period every SINGLE class day, this is for you. Since I'm not an art history major, I didn't enjoy her class. Barely passed. Grade consists of journal writings, 1 vocab quiz, 2 papers, midterm, & final. Definitely shows interest in the subject though, but I wouldn't take her again...

Dr. Wyman is my most favorite instructor ever. But, she talks really quickly so get your pencils sharpened, you will need the info! She is not the easiest teacher but she conveys concepts well and teaches in such a way that you will retain it.

Professor Wyman is difficult to keep up with so bring your laptop and be prepared to write down everything she says on your notes. i found the best way to study for this exam is to talk to other students about what she went over that way it sinks in your brain. the journals never seemed to help me, just my notes. she goes so fast be prepared!!!

Note taking is a must in this course. It's better to bring a laptop so you can keep up with Dr. Wyman. The class consisted of about three exams(including the final) journals about images (easy) one research paper and one paper about visiting a labyrinth. The exams mainly focus on the terms used in class.

She is a very hard grader. No clear at all. There are 2 quizzes, 2 exams, a journal entry and 2 assignments. The tests are hard they are all essay form and describing key terms within the art. She is nice but talks to fast and hard to understand.

Very nice teacher, speaks really fast for the whole time non-stop. Expects you to take note as fast as she speaks, and everyone knows the material really well like her. The topics were interesting, but it was difficult for me. If you are not an art major, don?t risk yourself.

If you're taking this class for upper GE, take something else! She definitely knows her stuff well, but this class is BORING! It's hard to pay attention. You must take REALLY good notes (in the dark) in order to study. 2 essays, 2 tests, and a final. Tests &final are essay format and hard to study for. Journals are easy though; You get full credit.

Pretty easy class if you study. I forgot we had a test, BSed it, and still pulled a B+ on it. Got an A in the class. Journals are easy. she just gives you credit. Second essay is also easy. The first essay hurt me. Just do the simple readings and you will get an easy A.

The professor is friendly and the class is interesting, but you will need to take GOOD notes and read/study them before tests. The terms and vocabulary from the slideshows are extremely important. It also helps to sit in the front so you can actually see what's on the slides. If you do that, the class is relatively easy.

One of the most tedious classes I ever took. Lots of reading, boring lectures, poor teaching aids, unusual teaching style, hard grading. Half the class looks bored, sleepy or dumbed out. I barely passed this class, this class is the devil.

Ugh. She is a nice person but RIDICULOUS when it comes to grading. I worked my booty off on every single writing assignment and NEVER got an A (I always get A's on my writing assignments). This class assigns students to work one 1 page journal every class period in response to the reading. That's 25 pages you get to write all toghether. so ridiculou

For the level of effort I put in, I should have got a B. I got A's on all three papers, but did terrible on the exams. They're essay questions and it was hard for me to predict what I needed to know. Taking notes in class was very difficult. I feel like she waxes poetic . . . although EVERYTHING she says is important. I should have wrote everything

Do not take this class if you do not need to! Lectures are dull and powerpoint slides are not labeled (would be helpful since not many people are studied in African languages). Long papers and slide portions of exams are ridiculous.
