All her exams are cumulative, such hard tests, her homework is barely worth any points 80% tests 20% hw, nothing to hold your grade if you do bad on the exam. Her lectures are not thorough at all I have to teach myself everything, would definately advise to find a different professor.

TAKE A DIFFERENT PROFESSOR! Her average on each exam is a failing grade. She didn't respond to emails, she gave me an incorrect grade on a hw & never fixed it after I asked. She was blatantly rude. I had an office hours meeting with her where all she said was climate change is fake & if I don't have an exact question to get out of her face. AVOID!!

DO NOT TAKE HER. She makes her class extremely hard & is not even accessible by her email (in syllabus). She gave me the wrong grade for an assignment & I emailed her to fix it and she never responded. She also is rude if you ask for help at her office hours & even kicked me out for not having an exact question, I was just lost. Find a better prof.

The reviews on here do Dillon so dirty! Shes an amazing prof and I struggling with chem 1 but in chem 2 I did amazing in her class. Dont procrastinate on studying and ask questions and you will be fine! Her exams this semester were fair and it wasnt anything that we havent seen! Would recommend!!

Wish I could give this woman a 0. Extremely disrespectful towards students, lack of empathy, and overall just an awful human being.

Everyone gives her such a bad rap so I have been avoiding taking chemistry from her, but she is actually amazing. She is very kind in person and in emails, and makes the class very clear and concise. I've had 3 other chem professors (even the ones everyone says are easy) and I would choose her every time. She has a lot of work but you will manage.

The class is mostly based on the TA and Dillon has poor communication skills. It wouldnt have been as bad if she explained things thoroughly. Shes inconsistent when scheduling office hours to help. When I was struggling she didnt show up to the Zoom appointment. She did adjust grades at the end which is why I ended up with an A-.

Overall this was a really easy class. The labs are easy, as are the post lab quizzes and lecture quizzes on second life. Was really interesting, although if you dont read the lectures you wont do well on exams since they are like word for word. Wasnt very chemistry heavy more like high school chem. Ended with a 97.

Lab was entirely led by a TA, so dont judge the course just based off of Dillons ratings. I got a good TA, but I know others who werent as lucky. This is the case for every lab, but be wary of grading criteria! If you have to, do the lab report early and ask for help if you get stuck! They will usually just give you the answers.

The lab work for this class is insane. The grading criteria is not clear AT ALL. A couple weeks into the semester, I realized I needed to do more than what she asks and ended up spending 10 hrs/week on this 1 credit class, outside of class. It was only then that I got full points. Unfortunately, she's the only prof for this class. Be a mindreader

I really enjoyed having Dr. Dillon for CHM1046. She has been super helpful and was always willing to set up office hours. She also provided lots of practice before exams. I was nervous about taking her class bc of all the reviews, but if you work hard, it's completely do-able. I feel like I truly learned a lot this semester, despite it being online

Dillon does a decent job with the TopHat lectures and the chem101 assignments (what you complete during class), but you do have to go out of your way to do the extra practice problems (practice tests) that aren't in the lecture videos or chem101 assignments if you want to do well. The class isn't too difficult if you're willing to put in the work.

Dr. Dillon gives plenty of resources to do decently on exams, you just have to study a LOT. Her lectures are thorough and she gave us 5 extra points on each test. She also dropped our lowest test grade. It is definitely more work to take CHM 1046 with her, but if youre pre-med or a chemistry major its worth it because youll learn more.

Yikes. Don't do it. NOT. WORTH. IT. All in all this class just makes you want to jump. Tophat sucks. Chem101 is painful. Her tests make you want to cry constantly, and the honorlock monitor is probably laughing at your misery.

She is the ABSOLUTE WORST. If you have any other option don't take her. She said on the first day of class "I don't believe in curves", reason why everybody is failing. Is very test heavy, so make sure if you take her study. Honestly, she doesn't even teach, it was all through TopHat lectures, and FSU should honestly pay you for teaching yourself.

If you have ANY other option for a chem professor please take them. She is a mean lady. I had her for lab too and she has no contact with the students so you just have to be lucky and get a good TA to get a good grade. Honorlock tests and she WILL NOT CURVE! the class average is a 60 something and she said she will not give extra credit.

I don't know how she teaches in person but online is not good at all. She gives you so much work to complete in a week. She has TAs but their not helpful at all because they let you struggle with a problem before they help you. Dr. Dillion expects you to know everything and she is not likely to help you when you're in need.
