I struggled with her class because she didn't attend half the zoom meetings she scheduled. The lecture videos we had were old and were using math programs that don't exist anymore. She offers no extra credit and no make up work. If you are good at teaching yourself then take her class

Online organization is poor. Be present for the non-mandatory zoom lectures or prepare for passive aggressiveness and reluctance to help. When my time permitted mid-semester to join a lecture, the zoom link was not appropriately placed . I messaged for its location and she responds "It is where it has always been." Buried under irrelevant info.

Be aware that you feel as though you are teaching yourself. When she does try to explain the concepts she speaks as if we are on her level and already know the concepts. She times her quizzes like tests and takes a long time to grade them so you never really know what you did wrong until two quizzes later. The tests and quizzes are.

I would not recommend Professor Scalzo to anyone. She does NOT answer emails. I have emailed her several times over the semester and the only time she responds is when you have to send the email again 5 days later because she ignored you in the first place. Does NOT review for any tests. Grades EXTREMELY hard. Gives NO rubric. Not helpful at all.

I loved Mrs. Scalzo class. This course was online due to Covid. There were no required live classes, but she did have an optional live zoom class on Sundays. She would go over the chapter and we were allowed to ask any questions that we had. Mystat lab showed videos on how to work the problems. There were two test, few quizzes, discussion boards.

Great professor! She is very funny and very enthusiastic about statistics! She really spells everything out for you, so there is no room for confusion. She does a lot of examples that are extremely useful. Print out your notes before class for a much easier time and clear notes. If you have ANY questions, ASK.

If you are taking Statistics, I'd chose her. I took her online course and struggled and didn't pass, then took her face to face- TOTALLY different experience. It's just hard to learn math online. She doesn't normally teach online but during the pandemic during this semester, she was so helpful during the transition to online! She cares! Take her.

I did everything possible to pass this class. This professor is tough. There was not enough time to finish quizzes or test. Evrthing was timed. 90 minutes to finish 50-55 questions is not enough time.

Pretty much teaching yourself. Tough grader and no matter how much you study you wont get an A. No guidance on what to read or not to read so youre pretty much reading the whole chapter. Not very lenient or empathetic.

hybrid class. She was good at what she does, but it was left to us to really teach ourselves (I spent about 3 evenings a week reading the textbook). She tries to give more credit opportunities if many people aren't doing well. She tries her best to explain how to do things in the given time allowed and I feel she did a good job

Don't take her online for sure. There is never enough time to finish quizzes and exams. She thinks everyone who takes an online class is doing so to cheat.

I took her online. Her quizzes and tests were harshly timed. The final was 55 questions in 90 minutes and most of them required work that took far longer than the average 1.5ish minutes per question to complete, and this is a constant complaint. Every quiz and test, I felt pushed for time even when I knew full well every step.

Do not take Scalzo online. She is more worried about cheating on online quizzes than she is about your grade. There are 6 quizzes and they are timed, 17 questions in 25 min. For the average student this is not enough time to finish math word problems. Mid term and final are compiled mostly from the quizzes.

Really tough grader, i made A's on everything and missed 1 assignment and failed 1 test and she made a point to fail me because i didn't agree with her not letting me submit an assignment under the misunderstanding that all classes including hers started a week late bc of the weather. But she didn't let me do the assignment anyway.

I did not learn anything. This teacher is horrible. In her online class, she gives 25-30 min to complete tests. There is no chance of passing this class unless youre a math genius. This is the first online class Ive ever regretted taking online. Ive taken all of my math classes online and this was the most challenging. DO NOT TAKE HER.

Robyn Scalzo one of the worst teacher to teach math at BRCC took her fall 2018, do not let these comments fool you, her daughters are writing these comments that is what Robyn Scalzo, told the class !!! DONT TAKE HER !!! TEST AND QUZZIES ARE HARD ! she dose not give good examples at all !!!! people have taken her three times still not passing

Mrs. Scalzo took over my class mid semester unexpectedly. Though my first teacher was good at what he did i LOVE her!! She works out problems with you&makes sure you understand it. She is very patient. If I was required to take any other maths, I would definitely take her for them. She could not have made our transition of teachers any smoother!

She is probably the worst teacher I have ever had. I do not normally leave a class not learning anything. he majority of the class barely passed or failed every exam. She got distracted every class and never could stay on task. She does not know how to teach. Not everything you do gets a grade, it is graded on a points system.

Elementary Statistics. She makes it easy to understand the information and actually makes sure you understand it before moving on. All exams in Blue Book. She breaks the test down into Multi choice normally 5-6, Written 2, Other 7-8 (actually doing the math) depending on the chapter. Definitely print out her gap notes before class to fill in

I've tried to email her multiple times. She never emails back. I paid for the online class. She makes you pay another 100.00 to watch videos and use another website that teaches you and grades you. She has done absolutley nothing, just used that other website.
