Comment:
While it's difficult to make proper notes of Heblé's lectures, simply attending and understanding what he has to say is enough to get good grades on the evaluation. I liked that he planned out his lectures in such a way that concepts from week 1 made appearances in the final two weeks, which helped remember them. Nice guy who loves participation.

took a contemporary english class with him in my first year. he was very knowledgable and interesting with well prepared lectures. if you go to the lectures you don't have to read the books...he gives you all the information you need to do well on assignments and exams. introduced me to interesting, new ways of reading literature. cool guy.

My first impression of professor Heble was really good, however as the semester went on I wasn`t sure about him anymore. In the end I decided that I really did like him. He is a great professor, very picky, which is good. Work hard and you`ll do well.

Heble is really bohemian... he always seesm super-inspired by his own lectures, and interested in class opinion. Repeats what you need to know about 5 times. I like the jazz peices that he relates to literature - LOL.

Heble is a great prof, he's in to modern english music and philosophy. He also injects great marginalized perspectives into the course like radical femininism, or a race perspective that maybe overlooked by traditional English Teachers.
