Although Dr Elson was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter he was very disorganized and unclear. He lost a student's midterm twice and didn't get it back until the end of the semester. He didn't seem to realize what time class was supposed to end and always kept class late, and never gave clear assignment instructions.

I had 0 interest in the subject matter of this class before taking it. However, Dr. Elson was so enthusiastic about it and made it easy to learn that I couldn't help but become engaged during the classes. He is a very smart professor and also very kind. He cares about the needs of his students.
