Comment:
No extra credit offered in his class. I was a straight-A student but he took lots of points off in paper writing. Very unorganized. If you have any other choice go for it. Exams are multiple-choice questions and you really have to read. Nothing from Quizlet.

Prof was alright. There wasn't a lot of graded work in his class but he expects you to read his power points, the textbook (about a chapter a week), and watch a video occasionally. He updates you weekly and has you participate in a couple discussion boards. There was also a couple quizzes and tests, and a five page essay.

This semester was online so I can only say how he was through canvas. He posted weekly announcements and all the readings and notes we had to do. I wish he made lecture videos bc sometimes the power points were confusing, but overall a pretty solid professor. He grades by VERY few things: 2 midterms, 2 quizzes, 1 discussion, 1 final, and 1 essay.

syllabus and modules on canvas are difficult to read, not the most organized compared to other classes. dumps the powerpoints and chapters on you and expects you to read through them each week, zero zooms or video lectures. not very clear on directions for paper and guessed my way through it. all the tests are multiple choice.

He is a kind teacher but his syllabus on canvas and course modules are very confusing to read. The class hardly has any assignments other than like 3 discussions and a couple tests/mid terms. Very nice man though.

Great professor! Just be prepared for taking lots of notes. You can't miss class either because he goes over a lot of material a day. It's relatively easy if you study your notes. He also goes sets a day aside to review for the exams and final, which is extremely helpful! If you really wanna do well then I suggest renting the book.

Mr. Niderost is a solid choice for History 7, took him for 8 as well. Graded by very few things which he outlines in the syllabus. There were 2 midterms a 6 page essay and a final. The class is extremely lecture heavy, show up, lecture, then leave. Make sure to take notes because thats what will be on the test. Easy A just pay attention take notes

His lectures are long and it makes a few students sleepy. However, his class is essentially easy to pass. 2 midterms, 1 final, and 1 essay. Show up the day before midterm, he will give you the answers. Attendance he does not mind if you tell him what happened. He is very understandable to many situations and at times accepts late work. No book.

Rude professor, not clear with notes or lectures. Read textbook after each class, finding it to be more useful than class lectures. Speaks rudely to women students more than men students. If you inform him on missing class for something for another class, he will basically call you stupid for missing his class. (Did that to me)

1 paper 2 midterms and final. Show up for Class the days before the tests and you can do moderately well. The book is not 100% necessary unless you miss a lot. I recommend taking this class with a friend or make a friend in the class to share notes with.

2 multiple choice midterms, a five page essay that he barely looked at, and 1 multiple choice final. That's it. Come to class, take notes, and you'll pass. Not a very interactive class however, and lectures are extremely dry.

Long and boring lectures, but then again it is history. Took him for summer so it was pretty fast. 2 midterms, 3 page paper (6 in reg. semesters) & a final. All multiple choice. Gives a review the day before every test where he basically gives you ALMOST everything that will be on the test. Don't miss those and you'll pass easily.

This class is based on 3 tests and 1 paper. 6 page Paper is on an article he wrote himself and tests are based on his lectures. MEMORIZATION is the key to passing. Take detailed notes on everything on the ppt and what he says! Book is not really necessary. Will go over study guide 1 day before test and there will be extra questions he throws in!

He gives 2 midterms and one final exam. The review sheets are useful and he goes over every answer in class the class before the exam. I never touched the book and got an A and B on midterms. Doesn't talk in chronological order, is half deaf, a little rude to females, short paper that everyone got an A on. All multipul choice midterms and finals.

Took pages of notes everyday , and yet couldn't understand what the hell he was teaching. Basically, i had to teach myself and read whole bunch of pages from books. In class term papers, is fairly straightforward, he does give the specific requirements he wants.

he talks all class and I would take notes of everything he said but when we toke tests it was nothing about what he would talk about in lectures. totally hated this class. hes a good person though. I think its for people with a greater knowledge of u.s history NOT FOR BEGGINERS.

He was very clear in lectures, and it was funny because he would poke fun at different perspectives. He covered the same material as the exams, and we didn't have to do any outside readings. Take careful notes on what he says, don't miss class and you will do fine. All exams were multiple choice and there was one short writing assignment.

Took him this summer and once before a couple years ago spring semester. You don't need the book. He even mentions that students don't read the book. Tests are multiple choice. I just listened in class and read over my notes night before tests. Hes pretty interesting and his lectures are funny. Definitely recommended.

Took him for summer and he's pretty easy if you write everything down. Only problem I have with him is I don't understand how I got A+ on all exams and the paper, yet my final grade was a B..

I took this for a Summer class and it goes fast. You have to write notes from his lecture and the test is all based on his lecture. I didn't even buy the book! His review before a test is very helpful. Well organized lectures and little stories to help you remember things which also makes it more interesting. Great teacher, passionate for history!
