Take him! He actually responds to emails, texts and he keeps his office hours! Prof F is nice and caring. His class has recorded lectures that make sense and he posts his notes for students. Tests are ok and assignments arent too bad. Best prof for online classes. Going to take him in person next semester.

Nice professor, understanding, and knowledgable man with interesting and entertaining examples presented in class. A lot of work, so you must put in the time. Only issue was that he NEVER ONCE took a break during our 2 hour 45 min class.

This professor is one of the best there is at the university. He is very understanding of the fact that we are going through a global pandemic and is very good and making his students understand the course material. Without a doubt one of the best professors I've had in some time.

Dr. Ferencz is the GOAT at CalState LA. The hardest class I have taken at CalState but my favorite. Dr. F shows how economics and politics are intertwined and he uses current events in all his lectures. Exams and papers are tough but he's fair in grading. He demands a lot but he's patient. Great lectures, funny and very friendly.

I feel like I learned a lot during this class. Out of all of my classes this semester, I believe this class will help me the most even after I graduate CSULA. Many topics were hard but the professor was so patient and did his best to explain the material. He has reviews before each exam. Five quantitative assignments, three exams and a paper.

Dr. F- is very passionate, chill, patient and understanding. I didn't feel that I missed anything from not being able to go to class because of Covid. He posted videos of all his lectures. Lectures are clear and answers questions. Dr. F- has review sessions for each exam. Weekly homework, three exams that aren't easy, and a project.

Smartest, nicest and hardest professor I've had so far at CalStateLA. Prof F- puts his lectures online for us to watch before class. He's clear with his notes and likes questions. During class, we would do sample problems. I went to his office hours a few times and he is so patient. His exams are not easy and you really work for your grade.

Friends told me to take Prof Sandor for microecon! Glad I did! He puts video lectures, notes, and book online (all free). Take lots of notes and read the book. Pretty fast in getting back to you with questions. He has weekly review sessions and quizzes are based on notes and readings. He's not easy but really nice and wants to help!

Covid19 forced everything to be online but Prof Sandor recorded all his lectures for us to watch. Video lectures are clear and if you have questions, he responds really fast. Available through video all day and late at night. Weekly assignments prep you for the exams and they are based on lectures. If you need to take stats, take him!

This is kind of a unique time because we transitioned to online classes during the covid-19 pandemic. This was a fairly challenging class but he was accessible and reasonable. But you need your book. And take lots of notes.

I really appreciated Prof F's patience with students. He cared that we really got the subject. He would go back if he needed to, to make sure the students understood what was being taught. He is very understanding and made it feel ok to be freaked out about the material but also let us know we would be ok. He gives his notes! Book not needed.

Prof Ferencz was one of the most passionate professors I've encountered at CSULA and in the Economics department. He thoroughly and patiently answered any questions we had and created a welcoming class environment where students feel free to discuss and ask about the subject matter. Exams are essay but he has review sessions.

Exams are doable. All notes are online which is a huge plus. Exams are based on notes and review questions. The paper is based on 5 possible topics. Gives good feedback on papers if you ask. Encourages participation and questions. If you don't get something, he'll come up with a different explanation. Writes a bit small though.

This was a challenging class but very enjoyable. Prof. Ferencz is very lively, approachable and presents the material very well. I struggled with a proof and he sat with me until I finally understood it. Exams are not easy but everything came off class notes. Lots of articles but it applies to the class.

Prof. Sandor is a wonderful professor that really loves teaching. He had some of the best lectures I have heard at CSULA. Encourages questions and participation in his class. His exams and papers are challenging but he walked through each of the questions in advance. No textbook but you will read A LOT.

Hands down probably one of the best professors I had at CSULA. Professor Ferencz is very clear and straight forward. He definitely knows how to teach and provides study guides for exams. Refreshing to see a professor that does not use power point. His exams can be tricky though.

This is the hardest class that I have taken. The class combines the typical econ graphs with calculus. The material is dense and not easy. Prof Ferencz is a gem because he breaks down all the calculus for you and explains the materia lclearly. If you're lost, he'll come up with different ways to explain the material. 3 exams & 1 paper.

You leave the class actually understanding statistics. He really enjoys teaching and takes it seriously. He explains everything so clearly and uses actual business studies in class examples. All notes (no book), assignments and sample exams are online. He isn't easy and you do work for your grade. Highly recommended.
