He deserves a better rating on here. For math teachers I've had, he is second only to Bill B. For the most part, he is very clear and goes slowly. His tests are EXTREMELY fair, which is very refreshing for a math class. He appreciates your effort. He is also very approachable, I asked him things almost every class. He holds a review at the end.

Class isn't mandatory but you will be completely lost without going. Tests are pretty hard if you spend no time studying. He does not give a curve and doesn't count homework to final grade. But as long as you have above a 50 for final average you should pass (at least that's what was said this year).

100, 95 on tests so far. With little to no studying. You people are failures. This guy is amazing at explaining things, and takes time to go over every little detail. In second order linear differental equations, he goes too SLOW in my opinion. If you are moderately intelligent you will do fine, and he is very patient with students.

One of the hardest classes in stony brook. Dont take unless you have to. Theres no curve and material is difficult. He tries to explain but he fails horribly. He is not lenient at all. AVOID this class!!!!!!

Not the greatest prof. at Stony Brook, but does attempt to help students with their questions. It's not so much as him as a prof. but the way the he sets the course up. Its VERY difficult for an uncurved class. I studied multiple nights out of the week and still only got a C. In previous Calc courses I got A-'s. Nice guy, poor set up.

Very fast paced class. NO curve. I spent hours a week studying and ended up falling a few points short of a C. I end up getting an F. There is not D or anthing but A B C. Very harsh class.

DO NOT take class with him. he doesnt curve anything. 55 minutes for a 5 question test (not enough time to finish). VERY rude. NOT helpful in office hours, rolls his eyes when you ask questions eventhough that is what office hours are for. heavy accent. no recitations. teaches material way too fast! HORRIBLE professor

Comment:
Lectures are done at lightning speed and usually extremely hard to follow. There are even times when he isn't sure whether he's doing a problem correctly or not. Exams aren't curved even though most of the class failed.
