You better go to his lectures or you will not pass. He is practically giving you the answers to his tests when you just go to class and pay attention. Take good notes and study them furiously and you will be rewarded. He is a great professor who will take care of you. Just ask him for help and he will work like crazy to make sure you get it.

Midterm was quite difficult. No Final. The class is focused on two group projects/presentations. The projects are both group papers. Overall, it was an OK class. The material taught in the class is useful in real life.

I had Addo for MIS315 and 492. He was great in both classes, but I feel like he goes a bit easier on students in 492 since everyone taking it is a senior. Lecture material is pretty interesting and actually applies to real world IT. Two group projects/presentations, and he understands if english isn't your first language. Midterm is difficult.

To be honest I came into this class with little programming background, which helped a lot. Addo explains things in class very clearly. Make sure to follow along and take notes in class, cause he often drops hints and examples for the code in your projects. Start on your projects early, utilize the TAs and study hard for the tests

If you don't have previous coding experience then this class will be require more effort. There are 4 projects that aren't difficult, but they are very time consuming. You must do the projects to his exact specs .There is only 2 exams, a midterm and final, they are very hard. There are a few pop quizzes and they are a little easier than the exams.

Dr. Addo was my favorite professor this semester. During lectures he calls on you to make sure you're understanding everything. Projects were not too difficult, but man, the quizzes and tests were hard.

Awesome professor, but very difficult class. I put my all into this class and I still barely understood anything. First pop quiz completely screwed me over. I'm just glad I got this over with.

Projects are time consuming but not too difficult. Exams/quizzes are the only difficult thing; true/false questions are really easy to miss because of really small details. Overall, he seems to really care that you learn the material and will answer questions as best as he can, both in office hours and during class, so don't hesitate to ask.

Dont take him! even if you are new to VB, you must know how demanding this class is! everything is weighted and you better do well on the projects as well as the exams to pass. Take advantage of his TA s! they are actually helpful. book is not so helpful though. D grade worthy. yikes!

Grade is based mostly on projects and exams.. only 1 quiz. Exams are kinda tricky so study well and carefully read questions. If you show up to class, ask questions when you don't get something and go to office hours with any problems you should do well. Although VB is ancient, you will learn concepts that will be useful for other classes.

Dr. Addo is always willing to help. You should attend all of the lectures as the class is comprehensive. He is someone you do not want to disappoint and cares a lot about his students. The subject is pretty dry but he does his best to keep the class lively.

The class is pretty easy even if you are new to MIS. The teacher explains everything in detail so if you listen you will never be lost. Tests are quite tricky though, you will need to know your notes by heart.

. However, the class could have incorporated valuation models of IT infrastructure investment along with real world applications. Class style was also taught in a manner that didn’t encourage student participation – could have been more fun.

One midterm that covers the entire text. 2 fully researched group papers that he grades like he is an English professor. A BPR diagram that you aren't taught how to do that he grades harshly. 1 Quiz that covers the entire first half of the text book. Overall this is not the same professor you think is fair from MIS 315. Avoid if possible.

Cares a lot and wants you to learn. It takes a lot of studying to get an A since most people have zero programming experience prior to this class, but just read and PRACTICE it! His notes help but you could probably learn everything through the book, plus 2 pop quizzes.

He's a good teacher overall and is funny. At the beginning of the semester he engages everyone by doing problems at the board. His exams are designed not to test your knowledge of the material that he teaches, though, but to screw you over by asking trick questions and things he didn't teach that are obscure from the text book and are irrelevant.
