The professor will post assignments twice a week with various of contents in order for you to learn about the Arabic culture. One thing to point out that some assignments include a lot of reading, however the stories are an easy read. Whether you take Arab 290 or another class, I highly recommend everyone to take him!

The class attendance wasnt mandatory but I insisted on making each session because I love the way he taught. He is hands down the best professor I have ever had. He cares so much about his students and makes the class so fun, it makes you want to participate. He definitely opened my eyes on what I didnt know about the Islam culture

God Bless Dany! Attendance is only mandatory because he wants to fill your spirit with joy. This isnt as much a class as a spiritual experience that you learn from. He exemplifies kindness and compassion no matter what you are going through he is there to help. Im taking him again this semster and every one that i can fit him in tbh. Cant get enoug

I LOVE DANY. HE IS THE BEST TEACHER AT CSUSB!!! an absolute gem of a human with a spirit that is out of this world. I took him for world of Islam (I am a Christian and had my reservations at first) and he expanded my understanding in a real way. His class isn't about forcing you to understand Islam so much as showing what it means to be kind. Love

Professor Dany is the greatest person ever! He is so nice and caring, an absolute gem. There are attendance quizzes (2-3 questions) and two modules every week (articles or videos and then you take a quiz) No final or midterm, only a project where you interview a Muslim. He gives out gift cards for those who participate in class. TAKE HIM!

He is by far one of the best professors I have had in college. He genuinely cares about his students and you can feel it. He takes the time to meet his all his students. Two modules due each week, Wednesdays and Saturday's, each module is a bit different. You take attendance quizzes and module quizzes but they aren't difficult. Highly recommend him

I took this class mainly for credit, and i was expecting I wouldnt like the class but I fell in love with it! Not only did he make it so interesting, the fact that he truly cared if his students passed was even better. I would, without a doubt, take his class again just to have him lecture.

Dr. Doueiri is one of the best, he really cares, and make you enjoy his class. Be there in all of the classes, participate, do the homework, which they're easy, and you will pass. I had so many good professors before, but Dany is one of the best, he really loves everyone, and try to give everyone a fair chance to pass with a good grade.

Prof Doueri is the best professor to take here at CSUSB. He offers a ton of extra credit that is easy one we had to do was to eat at an ethnic restaurant. The class is graded by 2 exams, short video reflections, going to the mosque, attendance quizzes. He cares about his students and wants you to pass with an A as long as you communicate with him.

Most humble and caring person/ professor I've ever met. He genuinely cares about his students. His lectures are always interesting. I enjoyed learning about something through a person that's experienced it first hand. Dr Doueiri will change your life and make the quarter less stressful. Exams are lecture heavy so as long as you attend you get an A.

Dr. Dany is so sweet, I've never taken a Professor like him before. Gives extra credit. There are Daily Attendance quizzes and you need a password. There's a small book he wants you to read. He gives study guides for Exams and it's important to watch or read what he'll post in the folders. They're on the Exams

Dr. Dany is one of the BEST humans I have ever encountered. He's lectures are interesting and he makes sure that the class is engaged. He is funny and caring. He does take attendance every day and those points count towards your grade. He gives answers to exams the day before - make sure you attend class

Offers 7 possible points for extra credit which i would recommend to do all points because it makes a difference from one letter grade to the other. The only difficult part of his course are the exams because if your not in class or don't look at the stuff on blackboard and read you wont do good. Other than that easy course but must attend class.
