Comment:
Professor Schwab was one of the best professors I had at UMD. Econ in general is a dry subject, but I can appreciate the moments where Schwab tried to crack a few jokes and make the content relatable. Professor Schwab was gracious when I told him I had to leave class early for work and although I missed 30 min of each class, I ended up with an A.

This professor seems to be lazy. He shell not qualify for teaching at such great institute. Middle school would probably the best fit for him. Overall, it is a shame of him to teach 400 level course because he does not have the capability doing so. Although I ended with an A-, I honestly would not recommend taking him.

Professor Schwab is a terrible teacher. He doesn't know how to teach. He is a very unorganized, and not helpful to students. Worst professor ever.

The course was challenging but not overwhelmingly difficult. The professor was good at making the material interesting. Definitely a lot of "dad jokes," but most where quite funny and eased the mood. I would recommend the course to others.

Dr. Schwab was somewhat dry, but he had some comedic moments. If you sit near the front, you won't get as distracted. The tests are not that hard if you do all of the problem sets and take good notes in class. All of the lectures are online, but with clicker points in class it is worth going. His class is supposedly easier than others for Econ200

Worst thing about Schwab is how boring his lectures are - the class really isn't that hard.

Professor Schwab is really funny. I can't really say anything about his teaching because I never paid attention in lecture. The homework is decently easy if you know what you're doing. Half of the homework is just completion and the other half is based on correctness. The tests are fairly easy, but I took econ in hs, so I have a background. Moblab!

Professor Schwab is great. Had him for game theory and you can tell he really enjoys teaching it. Had 6 problem sets (15%) throughout the semester that were pretty time consuming but not anything he didnt go over in class. 3 exams including the final (85%) not too difficult and curved. Definitely recommend

Schwab's voice is super boring to listen to but he owns up to it. He knows the material is boring but he does a good job of teaching. Go to class to do the moblab questions for extra credit.

Game theory with Schwab was fantastic. The content was tough, but the way he teaches makes it easier to understand. Going to lecture is essential, but if you have to miss a day or just didn't understand a concept, he's easily accessible through his office hours. Very challenging course, but he teaches it well. Would highly recommend.

Made a boring topic like Econ funny. Given the topic, his lectures could be boring at times but if you sit next to some friends it can be a good time. I would definitely take him again.

Schwab is a pretty funny professor if you can actually stay awake and listen. While he goes over important stuff in lecture, it's all stuff that is in the textbook (make sure you read and understand and if you don't, go to lecture). He isn't the best teacher but he tries. Don't sit in the middle of class bc he will yell @ u for talking

He really helps explain things during lectures and tries his best to try and personalize all of his lesson plans and get students involved. Very thorough in his lectures, but the tests can get difficult if you don't study the material enough

Professor Schwab is such a boring professor. He is super straight-face. He makes me want to fall asleep every class. There are clicker questions to grade your participation in the class. He's not very good with examples.

I took this as a blended learning course, so there was a lot of online work. Clicker questions every class period for your grade. Schwab was really good at explaining everything, which I really appreciated.

I LOVE SCHWAB. Yeah he's a little boring and weird but he totally owns up to it. Makes micro concepts super clear, if you can't get at least a B in this class there is something up. He also has his own little weird sense of humor and he'll occasionally make some pretty funny jokes during lecture. SCHWAB IS THE BEST

Professor Schwab was a pretty boring professor. When he explains things, you might need for him to repeat it. He has these long drawn out lectures. If you do not do the LearnSmart assignments prior to class and do not read the chapter, you will be lost. Also I felt as though he failed as it pertains to teaching anyone how to do the Problem Sets.

Comment:
After the first two weeks, the class grows dull. Unless you're sitting in the first three rows, you probably won't be paying attention for most of the semester. Tests are doable as long as you take good notes and do the homework.
