Had quizzes every week, 2 midterms and 1 final. I don't think he actually graded the quizzes. All exams had heavy curves because this course was very difficult. He's very nice and likes to joke but his exams could be pretty difficult. I would study hard for this course with him. I know a lot of other students had trouble with this course.

His internet connection is horrible but he refuses to do anything about it so the lectures are way too blurry, he doesn't provide office hours and doesn't respond to emails, and we're three months into the semester and have 1 grade in canvas even though we've had weekly quizzes. He completely expects you to make up for him having to teach online.

He wants us to remember to take derivatives. I have not done that since Calc 1. Also, we have to be able to know the quadratic formula. I don't remember this and don't see the point. WHY DO I HAVE TO REMEMBER STUFF FROM FRESHMAN YUEAR?

An idea of his inimitable style: Every day, he waltzes into class with a lab coat. He explains the proofs he's writing on the board with a thick Swedish accent. Catchphrases: "Isn't that cute?" and "Agree?". Best math prof I've ever had - if you enjoy math, he engages you and makes you think while you simultaneously laugh your head off.

Awesome teacher! He was certainly not the easiest teacher of Calc 3 that we have, but he did a really good job of ensuring a good understanding of the material that was covered. consequently he expected you to have an in depth understanding on tests, which were always 5 questions with an easy one, and a hard one at the end.

This class ended up being okay in the end, but there was no homework given for credit, tests/quizzes were 90% of your grade, and half the class didnt understand what was happening. If the course wasnt curved before grades were posted, I would have done much worse. Hes funny and makes lectures enjoyable, but its hard to obtain a good grade.

Richard is a complete genius and you can tell just by watching him work. Half of the content used in lectures are unnecessary, however very interesting. Although his lectures and study guides make the content seem impossible, tests are very reasonable. Easy grading and he is a reasonable man if you have questions. He is a joy to have as a prof.

Easily the best math professor I've had at UK. He keeps things interesting with his strange jokes and does tons of examples. Lots of homework, but graded only on completeness. Exams/quizzes are fair and reflect examples, HW, and review sheets. His handwriting's bad, and occasionally he'll rant, but don't let that keep you from taking him.

He sometimes lectures over extra information that he finds interesting but you wont be tested on so be aware of that but hes very nice and funny. His homework is not very long and his quizzes are fair. His exams were only about 5 questions but he has good review sheets that are reflective of exams.

He's definitely in my top 5 favorite professors of all time at UK. Great lectures, and he makes them enjoyable, so I really love coming to class. His accent and handwriting are sometimes hard to understand, but you figure it out as the class continues. Grading on tests is very fair, and 3 assignments a week to see how you understand the material.

He's a goofball and a solid choice for a lecturer. He can be a bit unclear at times, especially his handwriting, but does a good job to keep class engaging. Homework is assigned randomly and is all done on paper, quizzes every Friday, but the tests are easier than the homework and can be done without a calculator.

This professor is one of the smartest people I have ever met. He knows more about mathematics than I will in my entire life. However, all he does in class is proofs of theories. He does not teach the students how to actual WORK a problem. He also does not use Canvas or grade the tests until about two weeks after they were given. Not Recommended.

Simply amazing professor. Lectures are engaging and clear, and he's incredibly enthusiastic about the topic. I don't like math very much but he made the topic interesting and easy to follow. He's super friendly and accessible. 6/5

Was surprised to see a lower rating. He's hilarious and really trys to make Mathematics somewhat bearable and enjoyable. Yeah his accent takes some time to get around. But he's very kind heart-ed and quite amusing; which is rare! The material in this class is quite dense, so prepare yourself. Ehrenberg is a genius and you'll see it in his teaching.

Being from Sweden, he can be a little tough to understand at times but is still a great lecturer and tells many great jokes. Writes quickly and somewhat messily but still legible. It's evident he really cares about calculus. You can skip a few lectures here and there and be okay. Just make sure you attend the last class, it's great.

He's not bad. A little confusing. You're TA is more important for this course than the lecturer is. His lectures will make more sense if you took calc in high school. Tells funny jokes. Cancels class day after exams.

Really fun lecturer. He's from Sweden and has a slight accent, but it makes his jokes all the better. Fast writer and somewhat sloppy handwriting. I had no calculus background before taking this class and I actually understood it from his teaching.

Funny. Swedish accent, but most people should understand him clearly. Good teacher. Gives fair exams. My only issue was with grading. I answered one question correctly using an alternative method from the one given in class (not the derivative shortcut), and it was counted completely incorrect because it wasn't done using his method.

Yo Great Prof, but needed a grader. Liked his lab coat. Very funny. Covered all the book. He could put the material at our level.
